Racing comes to an end at Bakken

Racing, the Flitzer coaster that has been thrilling riders for the past 48 years at the world oldest amusement park, Bakken, is to close. It is unknown what will replace the ride, or if it will appear elsewhere, but the park plans to give it good send off by decorating the ride and offering a reduced ticket price. Seventh coaster for Fårup Sommerland

Fårup Sommerland announced they will be adding a Vekoma family boomerang coaster for 2020. Saven, which is Danish for Saw, will be the park’s seventh coaster and the first since Orkanen, a Vekoma suspended family coaster, opened in 2013. It’s the same type of coaster as Raik at Phantasialand in Germany and Accelerator at Drayton Manor in the UK, but with a unique layout. Click the headline for more information


Djurs Sommerland announce Tigeren

Djurs Sommerland announced Tigeren, the park’s new Intamin Super Gyro Swing attraction scheduled to open in 2019. Reaching heights of nearly 148 feet (45m) and speeds up to 62 mph (100 km/h), it’s the tallest and fastest attraction in the park and Denmark’s largest rotating pendulum swing ride!
