Jenson Butthead wins again

What a boring race, If Silverstone isn't any good I'm giving up on F1. There are much more entertaining motorsports to watch out there.

How many times have we heard people saying simelar things.

What was Rubens upto with that late move.

Rubens has been making some great starts as of late I sort of expect him to lead into the 1st corner.

You must have cursed him. Wasn't the best of races today but I enjoyed it, it spoilt it that Vettel went off in the first lap and Button got in front. Seeing as Vettel had the 3 stop strategy, he was not going to get Button. He caught him up but once he was about to try to take him, he had to pit.

Button had a good win again, he just makes it look so easy, so comfortable and relaxed, and to have over 90 points in June is amazing.

I want Michael back to teach this bum a lesson!

Sorry Ben, but Michael Schumacher > Jenson Button

Button qualifying in 6th doesn't exactly put him in the best position to fulfill his dream to win at Silverstone. Was an interesting qualifying session though, with Nakajima up there near the front.

Today also showed that F1 has never ever been so boring.

This season has been ****, I hope the teams do dis-band and create a new league/competition.

Todays was the most boring race of the season for me. Though, they have all been a bit crap. Last year it was very entertaining. This year, erm...nah.

I bet the politically correct, liberal-left wing BBC are annoyed that that a half-cast person isn't winning this year. That's why it's boring, the BBC can't be arsed. Nothing to do with the fact that it's just cars going round and round a bit of tarmac.

The BBC coverage has been very good tbh, much better than ITV. They can not help the fact that the FIA have played around with the cars so much its made over taking even harder.

So many people are saying that Alonso putting Lewis on the grass was ok as there was nothing he could do, but also a lot of people are saying had Lewis done that they would be up raw.

I dont think it was the most boring race, that was Monaco and Turkey, but what is the point in changing the rules to allow cars to follow if they just hit the rev limiter and can not get passed? This is why Alonso could not get passed Nick and why Lewis could not get passed Kubica.

And Alonso has said sorry to Lewis for putting him on the grass. It was good racing with them two and fun to watch.

Yaaaaaaaay! No Jenson Button on the podium!

Was a boring race though, dissapointed that once again Force India didn't get the points they deserved.

^What do you mean they didn't get the points they deserved? They didn't get in the top eight, so they didn't deserve any points.

Did you see how awesome Fisi's driving was? That double overtake at stowe neasr the start of the race deserved a point alone.

Also Force India keep coming close to points but for some reaon it gets messed up for them. I strongly feel that they deserve points, they are such a great team and they have made so much progress with the car, especially considering how small they are. In Monaco last year, Sutil would have been 4th if it wasnt for Raikkonen who hit him, In China FI would have had 7th if Sutil's car hadn't aquaplaned and if it wasn't for Bourdais cutting corners and blocking Fisi he would have gotten a point there.

I hope that in the breakaway series, if it does go ahead, that they adopt a points system similar to Moto GP as it is unfair that drives like that don't get rewarded.

^They obviously don't deserve the points because they're obviously not driving as well as the people who beat them, or else they wouldn't have beaten them, would they?

You do realise that being successful in F1 is pretty much all about what car your in right? Thae Force India isn't the fastest car on the grid and getting it into the Top 10 with the Toyota's, Williams e.t.c is a great achievement and deserves to be rewarded.

Of course it's all about the car you're in - that backs up MY point more than it does yours. Points are based on where you finish, and a slower car means you finish lower down the rankings. And finishing lower down the rankings means... LESS POINTS!

I don't see why it's hard to grasp the idea that points aren't given on what you think they "deserve", but, in fact are given on where the car finishes.

I can just see you running F1 - "Oh, Hamilton should get full points actually, his car is a bit crap, so it's not his fault - give him first place. And that person who won - he was in a FAST CAR. That means he doesn't deserve the points. Give him 0".

No, that's not really how it works. You "deserve" points based on how many of the other cars you beat round the circuit. You fail to beat them, you don't deserve the points. It's not hard to comprehend.

So, what you actually want is for Fisichella and Sutil to be given points for driving well in a bad car, but for Force India not to get points for making a bad car.

If that is the case then stop saying that it is Force India who deserve the points, because it isn't, it's their drivers.
