First of all, "it's" please Marc.

Sounds like Ferrari set the teams up to get what they want. Looks like Jean Todt will replace Max, and who did he work for none other than Ferrari.
Surely that would be "looks like Ferrari", unless you heard them say it. And if you did, why was I not invited to your little trip to Maranello?

I am sure there will be a lot of happy Ferrari fans if Todt gets the post, they would be the 1st ones to moan if someone like Ron got the job.
Um, wasn't what everyone wanted a pragmatic man who has the best interests of the teams at heart? Todt wants racing, yes Ferrari will be favoured. But hasn't that worked fine for like EVER?
In fact, Formula 1 only started going down the pan when Max decided randomly, hang on a minute, let's stop being up Ferrari's arse and not favour them.
It's a well noted and accepted fact that Ferrari are given more money (10% regardless of championship finish), they are given more protection, they get what they want if they throw a strop. Yes it is unfair and I don't particularly like it because it gives people a weapon with which to use against me, but it balances the sport. Keeps it in equilibrium and almost ensures that stuff like this isn't masterminded by them to spite the FIA.
Keeping Ferrari happy is the best thing for Formula 1 as a sport. And what better way to do so than to appoint the best and most successful Ferrari boss ever in their history?

With regards to the "deserving of points", yeah let's rewrite the rulebook. "He doesn't have a fast car, but he did drive very well in that race, bless him, 10 points!"
I for one, quite obviously, love it when man and machine come together to make a fantastic showcase of excellence. Button this season reminded me of that, and why I love the sport. It reminded me of how amazing Schumacher was to take 13 wins in a season, utterly fantastic. Yet under this proposterous ideal he would have been given nil points. WTF? Yes he has won all these races and won the championship with several races to go, making the back end of the season completely obsolete and a waste of money and natural resources, but he didn't "deserve it" so he hasn't won. Um, yeah, he sorted of earned his position in the best car, by being the best driver. It ALWAYS works out that way. Occassionaly you end up with crap drivers in the best car, like Jacques Villeneuve. But never the other way round.
