What's new

Formula 1 2009

Brawn has just said Rubens did not know all the facts so he might be ok.

But in a way I do hope he goes he should have let Button pass anyway, Kovy would have done for Lewis, Kimi did for Massa and Massa did for Kimi and MS.

Massa had a good race, he is showing this year he does not give way unlike last year and the year before.

As someone just said on another forum had it not been for these stupid front wings Webber and Lewis would not have touched and neither would Kimi and Sutil. I need to see replays tbh and can not be bothered looking lol these season is a turn off.

No penalty for Kimi as it was a racing incident, but Vettel got a penalty for Australia again a racing incident. Massa got one in Japan last year that was also a racing incident. Seb B got one in Japan as well for touching Massa.

Strange rules yet again.

It's because Kimi went to the stewards after the race with some Champagne and a Magnum apologising profusely.

Because such a situation arose, they didn't have it in their hearts to penalise him, so instead they made an agreement by which he would be let off the hook if he would say the magic **** line from Brazil 2006 then they would let him off scot free :p

^LOL!

I got bored of yestrdays race after a while. I still watched the whole thing, but there weren't any great shows of skill, and whether the pit stops went which teams way just wasn't enough to make it interesting.

Same here I switched it over early. Once there was no prospect of any rain I couldn't be bothered watching. Also the Nurburgring is a bit of a boring track anyway.

At least if Red Bull keep on winning and get ahead of Button there should be a close finish to the season. Just a pitty the races are boring. Maybe this breakaway series would be a good thing.

They just simply can not pass, there were cars being held up by over a second a lap and there was nothing they could do.

I think cars with KERS should not be allowed to use it until after the 1st corner. Its stupid that they can fuel longer and make up 2 rows off the start.

But that's the only real benefit of the KERS system Marc. It makes for interesting stuff, as well as Lewis cock-ups a plenty :p

Actually you will find that was 50/50 watch it again Lewis and Rubens are braking, Webber is looking to the right and did not even see Lewis. Webber simply broke to late and tapped the back of Lewis. Lewis should have given more room as well thats why I call it 50/50. Had Webber and Rubens not touched I think they all would have got round the 1st turn. Take your Lewis hating glasses off and watch the start again :)

We all know what Webber is like and if he thought it was Lewis fault he would have said. But I know you will not agree :) But if it had been MS you would have blammed Webber, end of :)

But I actually think Lewis should have got a penalty for the way he came back on the track.

Webber done just about everything he could to throw that race away.

The benefit of KERS was that Kovy and Massa could keep people behind down the back straight even though they were faster everywhere else.

They were saying the KERS system will not be used next season by any of the teams. None of them want to opt to use it. Funny because I thought the whole idea of F1 going green was to use these new technologies. Looks like the technology may need another while before its perfected.

Thats the thing though its not green in F1.

The batteries only last 1 race weekend so they need to be destroyed after, they dont use any less fuel so again no benefit.

Its very expensive and teams just dont have the money to waste. Its also meant teams like Ferrari, BMW, Mcalren and Renault have had bad years as their cars are not as good as people without it.

All in all for F1 it just does not do what its really meant to do.

Neal in Germany 2000 (I think it was) MS fans blamed Fissi for running into the back of him. Thats where I am coming from :) Its done now does not matter, at least we know he did not simply over shoot his braking which is what I thought at 1st but saying they he would have been better off lol.

I want the next race to rain, we need something to make this year better as at the moment I just feel its not real.

In the braking zone :) Webber should be braking but is trying to brake late to pass Rubens and did not see Lewis. Look at the on board if you still can, he is looking right.

As I said before if they were still using last years front wings that would not have happened and Sutil would have been ok as well.

As I said anyway its 50/50.
