Join us for brats, beers and roller coasters as we go to beautiful Baden Württemberg and travel from the home of Mercedes to the origin of the famous Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte. Although we won’t be cruising down the Autobahn in a C-Series munching on chocolate cherry creme cake, we’ll definitely be hitting up some of the best rides the country has to offer at two of our favorite Freizeitparks.
Erlebnispark Tripsdrill on the outskirts of Stuttgart offers some of the most uniquely themed attractions you’ll ever see, from spinning wine barrels to a bathtub flume ride through a sauna. And the treetop dueling drop tower is not to be missed. The park also offers five coasters, including the sawmill-themed Mammut woodie and launched Infinity coaster Karacho. There’s also possibly a brand new family coaster in the works that the park is keeping tightly under wraps.
What can we say about Europa Park on the western edge of the fabled Black Forest? Voted year in and year out as the best in the world, there’s no doubt that we’ll need two full days to tackle the huge lineup of coasters and rides at Germany’s largest theme park. No less than 18 themed areas are home to over a dozen coasters and countless attractions, including the thrilling blue fire Megacoaster, massive Silver Star airtime floater, huge Wodan Timbur woodie and newly re-themed Eurosat CanCan Coaster. Do we really need to say more?
