Re: "X-Flight"- B&M (Wing Rider) for Six Flags Great America
No. It isn't.
It is going where the old Shoot The Chutes was. Iron Wolf is hundreds of yards from there. Past an arcade and American Eagle and Wiggles World and Jonny Rockets and Funnel Cake Foundry and the train station.
I worked there for three years. Have you ever been to 6FGAm?
Re: "X-Flight"- B&M (Wing Rider) for Six Flags Great America
^ ohhhhh.
I was thinking that it used a partial bit of the old Iron Wolf site, because X-Flight is replacing Iron Wolf I guess, and it just seems rumors were that's where it was going.
Anyways, thanks rollermonkey, its good to know that.
Edit: After looking at google maps view of the park I can see that X-Flight is going in sort of between american eagle and the section of demons corkscrews. I could see there was some sort of log ride that looks like its no longer in use. Out of curiosity, what is happening with the old IW site?

Nothing for now. They may expand the picnic grove a bit into the part on the west side of the employee access road, and the rest will likely sit vacant for some time.
Re: "X-Flight"- B&M (Wing Rider) for Six Flags Great America
^ Ok cool. Hopefully they do something with it in the future. I think a zac spin would go pretty good there. Its got a small footprint and surely smaller than what IW's was. Even with X-Flight its got a fairly small footprint too. The site for it isnt that big.
Re: "X-Flight"- B&M (Wing Rider) for Six Flags Great America
Not a big update, but more track has arrived at the park and the drive tires have arrived (which look much bigger than the usual ones), but perhaps its just the angle or because of the large trains.
I'm sure once the ride goes vertical, there will be plenty of updates. This ride will probably rise extremely quickly, like all other B&M coasters being built.
Looks like the coaster is going vertical today, the first support is up and track is being uploaded off a truck onto site now. This can be seen from the webcam.
