I think it's because you're retarded.

This is probably the most true thing you have ever said.

Once again, great job. You're doing well with these and your pictures are excellent. I, too, can't wait to see your CP report.

Me+Gorilla=Sexiest thing ever

Quoted for truth!

You know what! You're unacceptable! The fact that you need to take up literally EVERY OTHER post in this topic when your last five posts in this topic could have been one post is unacceptable! The fact that you have Kingda Ka at number six, Beast at seven, and Mr. Freeze at thirteen is unacceptable, yet you have Diamondback way down at 16(I don't want to hear it Brad), and you think Alpengeist and Volcano suck. And the fact that you sleep with so many guys.

Now I could have split all this up into three or four posts, but I didn't, because I'm smart and I don't SPAM! :la:

Don't get at me like that!

Sorry if I sounded harsh, but I got it out.

^ How could I have combined my last multiple posts into one when they were like, literally all replies to the post beforehand? Suck it up Marc, Live topics aren't all about being serious and only posting reports, they've always been a bit of fun  .

Alpengeist and Volcano suck

They don't suck, just massively overrated.

yet you have Diamondback way down at 16

Not my fault it was way fabber in opening year. Not my fault they trimmed it, either.

Kingda Ka at number six

Live for the launchhh! It's not like I have Ka at six and Dragster at one hundred. They're both like, on top of eachother in my top ten (ha ha ha, dirty mind).

Beast at seven

Because Beast is amazing, enough said!

Mr. Freeze at thirteen is unacceptable

It's FUN!

And the fact that you sleep with so many guys.

That has nothing to do with anything. My sex life is none of your bizz  .

Now I could have split all this up into three or four posts, but I didn't, because I'm smart and I don't SPAM!

Spammer of the year 2010 FTW!!!!!

Marc you have been a bit of a serious Sally/pissy Chrissy :p . Lighten up, son!

'ere, can someone please do me a PTR for this for the Newsletter. Like Snoo's one of the other US Live. Or a bit longer if you want. I need it before the end of the weekend. Thanks :)

No? Snoo, looks like you'll be getting last minute pleas on MSN again next week! Aren't you lucky ;)

^I might be able to. How long does it need to be and when do you want it by etc?

I've got a lot on, but I might be able to put together a shortish report for you.

Sorry but you're wrong Top Thrill is a lot better than Ka, which shouldn't be in your top ten

Dragster's atmosphere poops all over Ka's, but Ka's launch still loved life!

It's an overated piece of ****

We all know how you feel about Diamondback, Brad :p .

It is fun, but a top 30/40 coaster, Max

I know haha, but everytime I've been on it, it has been fun.. And I'd reride it a billion times so, I like! For some reason, stupid little launched coasters like that sit well with me, like Speed in Vegas as well, although that is not a top twenty like Mr. Freeze is for me :p .

Too far Marc

Haha.. For real. It almost made me mad, but I think I will let it slide :p .

MARC DID IT!!!! He's a legend! :D

Also, Hixee is lovely for offering and I'm still in love with Snoo for doing the last one <3

How did we not spot him in his orange?

Sneaky... :S

^Yeah, it didn't work. It won't let me post my next PTR, so I was just seeing if it was the length of the post or not.

I’ve had to split things up slightly, as this section got too long for CF.

Part 3 – “Shuckin’ Escapade” USA-Live (2a)

Day 8 – Sunday 1 August (Live Day 5)

The next park that would be graced with our attendance was Six Flags St. Louis. Just a quick note to all the American’s out there:

Lewis is pronounced ‘loo-wiss’
Louis is pronounced ‘loo-ee’
Thanks. ;)

Anyway, after a very short drive in the morning we arrived at a very busy car park:
45443_152006434816559_100000216111702_500482_3830138_n.jpg

We met Gavin by the entrance and let’s just say he was looking a little worse for wear! We headed for Mr. Freeze first, which I enjoyed.
45443_152006448149891_100000216111702_500485_433501_n.jpg

I liked the launch in the tunnel and the top hat was quite fun in the front. The turnaround and tower were fun too. There was also some pretty big hang-time in the front row coming back through the top-hat!
45443_152006458149890_100000216111702_500487_859078_n.jpg

Next up, I think, was Tony Hawk’s Big Spin. This was just the same as Spinning Dragons at World’s of Fun, except we didn’t quite spin as much. I remember Gavin loved this one! Then, it was this:
45443_152006461483223_100000216111702_500488_454395_n.jpg

Another different coaster I thought. It had a funky first drop, not gaining all its speed straight away, and quite a long layout. It wasn’t groundbreaking in terms of forces, but it was fun enough for me to go for the re-ride with Jerry at the front. However this ride was memorable mostly for the ride-op’s massive sneeze. I think Brad and Aidan were the only two who shared this moment with me, but she sneezed her glasses off. It was fairly amusing!

I think after The Boss we headed up to the back corner of the park to ride the drop tower, Superman Tower of Power:
45091_152006708149865_100000216111702_500496_6924128_n.jpg

This was definitely one of the better drop towers of the trip. Perched on top of the hill at the back of the park, it offered a great view of the park and surrounding area. The drop sequence was what made this ride though. The cars drop individually about three seconds apart. We were the third carriage to drop, so we heard the clunk of the carriages around us dropping, then it was our turn. The best part was, we didn’t really know this was going to happen and it what order, so it really built the suspense up. The drop was fairly fun too! Right, next was Screamin’ Eagle:
45443_152006471483222_100000216111702_500491_5792401_n.jpg

The ride broke down just as we got onto the platform, but it was soon back open again. This ride was just average, nothing to write home about! It looked quite old-skool though, so that was cool.
45091_152006694816533_100000216111702_500492_6054136_n.jpg

This is where it gets a bit muddily for me, I don’t remember what happened when now. I know we rode the mine train, which was dreadful in every way. We also rode Ninja, which wasn’t as bad as I was expecting to be honest. I think after that we rode Batman:
45091_152006714816531_100000216111702_500498_4690821_n.jpg

Yeah, it was really similar to the one at Six Flags Great Adventure.
40867_152006868149849_100000216111702_500505_4725740_n.jpg

It has a blurry first drop too:
45091_152006718149864_100000216111702_500499_8323177_n.jpg

We ate at Panda Express again. I went in optimistically, hoping that it was just an off-day at Kings Island, but sadly it wasn’t really. Don’t get me wrong, the food is nice, it’s just a bit too sweet and sickly for my liking. I know some people loved it though, so each to their own I guess! Finally we headed to the last credit of the day:
45091_152006701483199_100000216111702_500494_6062622_n.jpg

Another very fun ride. I’ve still not decided whether to put it higher than Prowler or not. They were very close, but also quite different. Evel Knievel had the more compact feeling, however Prowler did have a better terrain layout and setting. They’re very close whichever one is actually a bit better. They are fantastic rides, not huge, but exhilarating.
45091_152006704816532_100000216111702_500495_1999178_n.jpg

So finally we’d got all the credits, all the re-rides we wanted, and headed on to the next hotel. As you can see by this picture, there were a lot of incredibly beautiful, awe-inspiring sights along the way:
40867_152006881483181_100000216111702_500508_6206215_n.jpg

Sunset driving <3:
40867_152006871483182_100000216111702_500506_5482604_n.jpg

Overall Six Flags St. Louis was a nice park. It didn’t have a bad ride selection and the whole park felt nice and well looked after. It also seemed quite green and not just big slabs of concrete. My second favourite Six Flags park, after Great Adventure!

Day 9 – Monday 2 August (Live Day 6)

It was time for CoasterForce to descend upon Indiana Beach! On the way I decided to try and get the matching shot from Marcus’ car:
40867_152006874816515_100000216111702_500507_8016964_n.jpg

We arrived shortly before the park opened, got our wristbands and headed over the bridge into the park.
40867_152006888149847_100000216111702_500510_5278170_n.jpg

We rode Galaxi first, thenSteel Hawg (sadly Superstition Mountain was closed when we got to the park).
46098_152007048149831_100000216111702_500513_937413_n.jpg

I didn’t really think Steel Hawg was much good to be honest. The drop didn’t feel anything special and I thought the rest of the layout was quite average. It was fun, but not as much as Sequoia Adventure at Gardaland, which used the gimmick feature much better I thought. Still, it was fun.
46098_152007058149830_100000216111702_500515_693269_n.jpg

We then headed back to Hoosier Hurricane. Again, another fun ride, but nothing earth shattering. I did really like the bits over the water though:
40098_152007204816482_100000216111702_500524_6061735_n.jpg

I think we rode the Tig’rr Coaster next. It was not as rough as I was expecting it to be, and it wasn’t too unpleasant, but it was not a very fun coaster really. It was a standard Jet Star model, so I’m sure you don’t need to see any pictures of it! I think after riding that we headed for Cornball Express.
46098_152007071483162_100000216111702_500519_3094455_n.jpg

All the guys who’d ridden this before were comparing it to Phoenix, so I couldn’t wait to ride! The first drop and first hill were quite average and nothing spectacular in the way of forces. I was a bit disappointed and I was worried the rest of the ride was going to be the same. Thankfully the next hill was great. A really nice, hard, sharp punch of airtime, just like on Phoenix.
40098_152007214816481_100000216111702_500527_2562457_n.jpg

The next hill that was underneath the Hoosier Hurricane, which was a blast, and then the rest of the layout worked its way round and over the park. It had loads more great ejector airtime all the way back to the station. Overall I don’t think I liked it quite as much as Phoenix, it felt a bit too… random really, but it was still fantastic!

Again, this is another one of those days where I lose track slightly of what we did when. I know we rode The Lost Coaster of Superstition Mountain at some point. What a strange coaster! I mean seriously, it was really ****ed up. Really fun though too. I remember us just laughing all the way round. Sadly it’s not the easiest one to take pictures of. We also rode the swings at some point, which were fun again, and drifting out over the water was really cool.
40098_152007201483149_100000216111702_500523_159673_n.jpg

We also did the haunted house walkthough. Mostly this was a below average dark corridor, but the room of doors was actually really good fun. Especially Taylor getting blasted in the face by the air! It was also around this time that we played on the arcades for a bit (and sadly Marcus lost his wallet around this time too) and generally chilled out in the park. We went round re-riding the rides several times and then headed out of the park towards the hotel.

I actually really liked Indiana Beach. It had a similar feel to Blackpool, however it was just so much better. It felt nicer and didn’t have the feeling of out-dated-ness to it. It was old, but it felt like it had been well looked after. It also had a fairly good selection of rides, with some cool coasters and funky other attractions. So yeah, Indiana Beach gets my thumbs up!

There was another cool sunset on the way back:

Part 2b next...

Part 3 – “Shuckin’ Escapade” USA-Live (2b)

Day 10 – Tuesday 3 August (Live Day 7)

It was finally time. CoasterForce were at Cedar Point!
40098_152007231483146_100000216111702_500532_240193_n.jpg

As this was a Cedar Fair park we got ERT with our Platinum Passes, so headed straight to Maverick:
45208_152007411483128_100000216111702_500537_3747219_n.jpg

It was excellent!
45208_152007401483129_100000216111702_500534_6048395_n.jpg

It’s another one of those really good looking coasters too:
45208_152007418149794_100000216111702_500539_7743706_n.jpg

Now for my thoughts on the ride… I’ve always loved how the trains on Maverick looked at they travelled round the track. Their short trains means they seem to gain and lose speed quickly, which makes them very interesting to look at. It also makes it very fun to ride, with a certainly element of unpredictability. I loved the gentle acceleration up the first hill and the first half of the ride was great. The fast turns do require some neck-bracing and anticipation, but the transitions are fast, the corners are forceful, the hill is great and the inversions are fun. The launch in the tunnel was great, although I was expecting the train to stop, so it was a bit of surprise when it took off again! The Stengel Dives were amazingly fast and the end of the ride was just as much fun as the start. It was in my top ten straight away, but it took a re-ride at night to secure its place at #3.

It also looks quite nice against the sunset:
45208_152007424816460_100000216111702_500541_1967882_n.jpg

Next up was Millennium Force!
45437_152007604816442_100000216111702_500544_3310263_n.jpg

This ride is all about the first drop. Even though the lift hill is stupidly fast, it still takes some time to actually get up the 310ft, which is nice because it does give some impressive views of the park:
45437_152007608149775_100000216111702_500545_7308172_n.jpg

The drop is extremely fun. It feels like you’re falling for ages and the speed the train picks up is great. The overbank was fun too, as were the hills. I wasn’t expecting much from the hills to be honest, everyone was saying how forceless they were, however I thought they did have some airtime. I did love the speed of it though. It was fun rushing along close to the ground travelling that quickly. I also like how it dominated the park.
45437_152007611483108_100000216111702_500546_5280357_n.jpg

We’d had to put or bags in lockers for Millennium Force, so we decided to leave them there and head straight over to Top Thrill Dragster. Just in case you don’t know what it looks like, here it is :p :
45437_152007628149773_100000216111702_500551_6195572_n.jpg

It was around this point in the day where we met Matt (Hyde244) and Emily (Marcus’ girlfriend). Oh, then Marc’s parents arrives, which was priceless! Marc did a double take at first, but then they all got chatting with us and it was all good. We got in line for Top Thrill Dragster, waited out the rain showers and temporary shut-downs, and boarded the trains.
45536_152007721483097_100000216111702_500553_3646304_n.jpg

I’m not going to go into every reason why this is better than Kingda Ka, but in general the lapbars were better than the OTSRs, the theme and atmosphere was better and overall it was just a better ride. I really did love it, it sits firmly in my top ten, and even though its one trick is the same as Kingda Ka’s, it did it so much better. The other thing I love about Top Thrill is how its just this massive pinnacle pointing upwards. It looks brilliant.
45437_152007631483106_100000216111702_500552_4479555_n.jpg

I also looks pretty nice against the sunset too:
45536_152007728149763_100000216111702_500555_3873686_n.jpg

I have no idea what rides we did next. I think it might have been Magnum XL-200, which was the best ride of this type from the trip. It had some good airtime (the best was on the bunny hills on the way back), but the trim before the turnaround was a killer. The lapbars also needed a bit of getting used to as they could cause some serious damage to the thighs. Overall though, not a bad ride.

We then rode Gemini (both sides for both the credits) and the Cedar Creek Mine Ride. Neither were outstanding coasters really. The interaction between the trains on Gemini was fun, especially as we split into two groups so had the racing element. Cedar Creek Mine Ride was dull. Marc and Taylor went to get the bags from the locker whilst we were on the mine train and we met them for lunch. The Chick-fil-A food was nice, I can’t be ****ed and I know you don’t care about any more detail than that. After lunch we went to ride Mean Streak:
45437_152007618149774_100000216111702_500548_7877012_n.jpg

It looks quite impressive, shame it rides like ****:
45437_152007621483107_100000216111702_500549_302516_n.jpg

Without question the must unpleasant experience on a ride for me. It was rough, but not uncomfortable, just painful. It’s worth riding to know how **** coasters really can be, but I wouldn’t suggest riding it more than once a day. It gave me a mild headache for a couple of hours afterwards.

We then met up with the others and rode Iron Dragon and Wildcat. Both were under average pieces of **** really. The only redeeming feature was Iron Dragon’s transfer track.

We moved over to the other side of the park and rode Blue Streak. This ‘Streak’ was actually quite fun. Tame, but fun. Next up was Raptor:
46185_152010368149499_100000216111702_500584_8375871_n.jpg

Another invert I was looking forward to riding! It didn’t really disappoint (except the zero-g-roll, I mean, what a waste of space… oh sorry, I’m still in love with Patriot’s  ). It had a nice layout and some nice intense forces too. Overall a good invert, I’m pleased I’ve ridden it.
44690_152010318149504_100000216111702_500580_4558752_n.jpg

Hmm… upside-down goodness:
46185_152010364816166_100000216111702_500583_5983692_n.jpg

We then moved over to Disaster Transport. This was an average coaster made better by neon, darkness, the penis game and Matt’s hilarious announcer voice! That was seriously one of the highlights of the Live to me. It tickles exactly my sense of humour so thanks. Next was MaXair:
46185_152010374816165_100000216111702_500586_1081847_n.jpg

Best one of these I’ve done so far. Long cycle, massive swings, great views, it was excellent.
46185_152010378149498_100000216111702_500587_4096431_n.jpg

This was next:
44496_152010461482823_100000216111702_500589_4506922_n.jpg

It does the same thing on the other side too, see?
44496_152010474816155_100000216111702_500592_5116178_n.jpg

Personally I preferred this to Possessed. I didn’t mind the straight tower on Possessed, but the holding brake completely ruined the flow of the ride for me. Thankfully this ride had no such holding brake. It was a fairly violent twist, but it was good fun.
44496_152010468149489_100000216111702_500591_4031915_n.jpg

We did Corkscrew, which was meh, but it goes over the path and looks cool in doing so:
41256_152010581482811_100000216111702_500593_5561889_n.jpg

We did Mantis next. It wasn’t as bad as a lot of people make out. I enjoyed the stand-up sensation on a coaster this big, but I wasn’t running back for a re-ride.
41256_152010591482810_100000216111702_500596_4878670_n.jpg

After this Marcus, Emily, Gavin, Jerry, Marc and Aidan went to ride Shoot the Rapids. It was a bit too late in the day for me to get soaking wet, so I opted to get the pictures of them. I think it worked:
40401_152010718149464_100000216111702_500599_7550895_n.jpg

So as the sun was almost down we went and queued up for Maverick. Apart from the flies, and Taylor’s screaming, it was great again. I preferred the ride during the day, but it was the re-ride that got it so high in my rankings. On the way out of the park we got one last re-ride on Magnum XL-200, which is where Gavin got owned by the restraint, providing one of the funnier moments on a coaster! On the way out, Top Thrill Dragster was looking amazing all lit up:
40401_152010724816130_100000216111702_500601_2765758_n.jpg

We said goodbye to Matt, for the final time of the Live (but hopefully not forever mate ;) ) and we were on our way to the next hotel. This is night driving too, not really what I was aiming for, but it looked funky nonetheless:
40401_152010728149463_100000216111702_500602_2496927_n.jpg

So we’d done it. We’d conquered Cedar Point. We’d got all the credits (Brad even got the kiddie ride  ) in one day and we’d had a fantastic time. Cedar Point was a nice park, but I’m not quite sure about it for some reason. It feels a bit like they’ve just put a load of rides and shops in, then just concreted everything that was left over. It’s nice though and certainly a park I want to go back to.

Day 11 – Wednesday 4 August (Live Day 8)

Sadly it was time for the last day of the Live! We’d be spending it at Kennywood and Waldameer. We arrived at Kennywood at about 09:45, thinking the park opened at 10:00.
40401_152010738149462_100000216111702_500605_7664202_n.jpg

It didn’t open until 10:30, so we had some time to kill. After sliding down the escalators for a bit and getting some food at McDonalds the park finally opened. The first ride of the day was Sky Rocket:
40219_152010928149443_100000216111702_500611_1377005_n.jpg

I thought it was a lot of fun. The launch and top-hat were great fun and the rest of the layout seemed to suit the short trains and it all flowed quite well. Definitely the highlight of this ride was the upside-down airtime. I have no idea how it actually works, but it was great.

Next up was Phantom’s Revenge:
40401_152010741482795_100000216111702_500606_4526166_n.jpg

I was looking forward to this. I’d seen a TV program on the ride and its conversion a few years ago. The second drop certainly did not disappoint, but the rest of the ride felt a bit too short. There were some funky bunny hills, but it just felt like it didn’t do anything with all the speed it had.

I forget what we rode next, but we got the kiddie credit, the Racer (nothing very exciting really), the swing and Aero 360. We also rode Jack Rabbit which was fun, with some cool airtime on the double down. We (well, Brad and Taylor chickened out) rode the Kangaroo and Marcus and I successfully crushed Aidan. It was great fun, for us at least!

We rode this thing next:

I thought it was good, but I didn’t think it was quite that awesome. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the layout, it was different and it was fun, but I had a feeling that it was just said to be good because it’s old. It is an ACE classic after all! We finished off getting Exterminator (thank goodness it has some theming), Noah’s Ark (which was really cool actually) and Sky Rocket again.

Overall I did like Kennywood. It felt like a mix between old fashioned and modern. It had a nice selection of rides and a nice enough setting. The deep fried Oreo’s were also pretty sweet!

We stopped for lunch on the way to Waldameer (I can’t remember the name of the place now, but the burger with chips in it was excellent) and arrived at the park late in the afternoon. First ride was Comet, the old-skool woodie:

We then got a quick ride on Ravine Flyer II (more about that later) then went to get the other credits. Ravine Flyer 3 was first, but seeing as the ride looks so lame, I included the Ferris Wheel:

We did the drop tower on the way to Steel Dragon. It was a standard spinner, nothing worth writing any more about:

Now it’s time for Ravine Flyer:

Look enthusiastic guys!

Ravine Flyer II is seriously fun. You can barely see any of it from the park, but it’s not a small ride. The drop down to the valley floor is great and the ride has plenty of sharp pops of air, fast turns and near misses.
45765_152011158149420_100000216111702_500621_3531297_n.jpg

The only part I didn’t really like was the s-bend hill after going over the bridge the first time. It just was taken a bit too fast and this made it quite violent meaning that it didn’t fit with the rest of the ride. Still, it wasn’t that much of a problem. So basically we just rode the coaster again and again and again until closing. It was excellent. We got on the second last train, all sat together, yelling away. It was such a great experience.

Waldameer was a really nice little park. It felt like it was taking things steady and didn’t want to get caught up in the massive commercialisation that some small parks do. Even Ravine Flyer II wasn’t that imposing on the park. It was a very fitting end to a fantastic Live.

So we headed to a Buffalo Wild Wings after we left the park to have one last meal together before saying our goodbyes. The food was very nice, but it wasn’t the main focus of the evening. Now as you may have noticed, I’ve not properly thanked anyone yet, I’m planning to do it all at the end, but I’d just like to say that the Live was absolutely fantastic and it was mostly because of the people. It was a bit emotional saying goodbye to Taylor, Marc and Marcus (none of us were as bad a Taylor though). So there it was, the end of the Live. Like I said, a real thank you will be at the end. <3

After this we headed on to Jerry’s sister’s house and all crashed out in her basement.

The final instalment of my report will be up soon and will include Leap-the-Dips, Bizzaro, Boulder Dash, Cyclone and New York City. Stay tuned! Hope you guys like it so far, this segment was particularly massive!

I loved the reports once again, Matt! Your opinions actually seem very similar to mine for pretty much everything (yay for being coaster compatible, we are awesome), and it was nice hearing what you thought about stuff since I didn't get to ask you after like every single ride. Photos were awesome as usual, too!

Yes, I am over-emotional at every goodbye haha, I hate it, it's so embarassing.

PS- Scorching hot jacuzzi night was actually between Holiday World and Worlds of Fun. I was bored today and was trying to sort out which nights were between each parks and I worked it out. Night between WoF and Silver Dollar was the night Gavin got rejected alcohol from the Kum n' Go, hahaa!

I <3 you too hun. :) It was a great time with you and I can't wait to see you guys again.

PS: Matts voice and that whole moment was the best single moment of the Live. I was dieing..

Day 6- Six Flags St. Louis

Well, it has been a while since I made a report, but I am going to do this one now, which may be very silly timing as Matt just posted an epic report! My memory is going to be slightly off, but I will try my best! We had a little bit of time to sleep in that morning, had breakfast as usual (some yummy donut thing), then took off for the extremely long.. Twenty minute drive to the park. Once we got there, we ended up waiting fourty minutes for Gavin, who eventually arrived, looking like he had a good time the night before, but it had clearly caught up to him!

GEDC0795.jpg

Empty parking lots love life! Both times I have been to the park, the queues have been very minimal.

GEDC0796.jpg

Battyman from the parking lot.

While we were waiting for Gavin, I snapped a few pictures of people!

GEDC0797.jpg

Matt is creepy!

GEDC0798.jpg

Marc was awfully bright!

GEDC0799.jpg

Brad was awfully.. Brad-ish.

GEDC0800.jpg

I then realized my camera was zoomed in. So, I fixed it.

GEDC0801.jpg

There we go!

GEDC0802.jpg

Aidan is one shmexxy little stud!

GEDC0803.jpg

Hey Marc!

And then I had to take a picture of this sign, as August 14th is an awesome day (my birthday).

GEDC0804.jpg

We got into the park eventually though, which is one of the better Six Flags parks as far as atmosphere is concerned. My pictures don’t really showcase it, but oh well. We all know I am a dud as a photographer and many other things in life!

GEDC0805.jpg

First ride of the day was Mr. Freeze. Everyone knows I love this ride, and most people don’t really get why. It’s just a ton of fun, and I could ride it over and over without getting bored! The launch isn’t too intense, but still fast. The tophat pulls some nice forces, and it is just a good laugh. I rode it twice in a row without having to go back in line, yay!

GEDC0808.jpg

GEDC0809.jpg

GEDC0810.jpg

We headed to Tony Hawk’s Big Spin, where we waited a few minutes. Then, as I was about to get on the train, the girl told me I couldn’t ride as I had a bag with me, when she let the girl on with a bag right before me. It didn’t matter too much though, as I had the credit and wasn’t too keen on the ride to begin with!

GEDC0811.jpg

Then it was time for Boss, which was worse than I remembered it being. It’s an okay ride in the front, but anywhere else and it’s just rough. For some reason though, I find it fun.. Maybe I am a masochist, but it made me laugh the whole way round :p .

GEDC0812.jpg

I didn’t get too many pictures on this day, but just go to Matt’s report if you want to see them! I think we did Screamin Eagle next, and by we I mean everyone but Gavin who had to leave the line to take care of some puke-age. I never thought this ride was anything spectacular, and I still don’t.

When we got off, we sat down to have a drink, and a few of us went to ride River King Mine Train. I didn’t remember it being so crap, maybe because the year before there was a peachy old ride operator at the top of the lift hill waving at everyone! It is just such a silly ride, it has three lift hills and about three feet of track in between each one.

Since Marcus, Aidan, Jerry and I missed out on the drop tower last year, we were excited that it was running, so everyone went to that next. I don’t usually like these types of drop towers, but this one was awesome as the drop cycle is random and you hear everyone else’s carts being released before yours. I screamed, and as Jerry wanted a video, I rode in their car right after I got off the first time. So yay for two in a rows! Definitely one of the better drop towers I have done though, that’s for sure.

GEDC0814.jpg

After doing Ninja, which actually only some of us did (Marcus, Jerry, and Aidan sat out), we either went to Batman, or to eat. Either way, the Panda Express was awesome despite the fact that I accidentally wasted half of it, which is sad as it could have gone to poor African kids. Batman was also awesome, but because my allergies hated life that day due to eating tomatoes at Silver Dollar City the day before (whoops.. But they were the only good thing at the buffet), I came off the ride with boogers running everywhere. We also had a mishap with the lockers (BRAD I AM LOOKING AT YOU AND DON’T TRY TO BLAME IT ON ME FOR BUMPING INTO YOU.. Yes I admit now that it was indeed me who knocked you :p ), as our locker was a one time use thing, and it got knocked shut. But the locker attendant was there quickly enough, and we were on our way to get the last cred of the day.

GEDC0815.jpg

GEDC0816.jpg

GEDC0817.jpg

And soo, the last cred of the day (not a cred for me, but most people) was… Evel Knievel!

Unfortunately it had a line, but it was still only about ten minutes long. It is still the fun ride I remember it being, and though not as good as Prowler, it still has a great rerideability factor! I didn’t have much of a desire to go back on or anything since I didn’t feel too good, so I just sat around and ate ice for a few minutes while we waited for the others to get off the ride.

GEDC0807.jpg

It was time to say goodbye to the park and then head out to the hotel in Urbana, IL. The way to the hotel was quite epic, with me, Jerry, Gavin, and Brad in the car. I think all three can attest to the fact that they have never seen me laugh so hard.. Tears were literally coming down my face.

GEDC0819.jpg

GEDC0820.jpg

GEDC0823.jpg

Once we got the hotel, I went to bed pretty swiftly hoping that my allergy pills would kick in and I would feel myself the next day, which it turned out, I did, so yay!

Day 7- Indiana Beach!

I had missed out on this park last year, which annoyed me, but I am glad I got to go this year as it was a pleasant surprise! When we got to the park, we encountered a really stupid girl at the front gates, but soon we were all crossing the bridge in our sunnies (yes, most of the cool kids wore sunnies that day and looked amazing), with Cornball not so far off in the distance!

GEDC0824.jpg

Matt, your head ALWAYS gets in the way of my shots. You so did it on purpose!

GEDC0825.jpg

GEDC0826.jpg

When we got into the park I could already tell I loved it, because it was different to anywhere else I had been.

GEDC0828.jpg

GEDC0827.jpg

First ride we did was Galaxi, and though it was nothing to write home about, it was fun. After that, we went to Steel Hawg after realizing that Lost Coaster was closed. Unfortunately, I didn’t like it very much, but it is still a good addition to the park. They really need to sort out the restraints, and I am not usually one to complain about stuff like this, but they are really stupid.

GEDC0829.jpg

GEDC0830.jpg

| Then we made our way to Hoosier Hurricane, which was pretty much the same case.. Nothing exciting, but still good fun and quite interesting as it goes over the water (proving to be not such a good thing later in the day as Marcus’ wallet could have very well ended up there).

GEDC0831.jpg

We modeled ourselves as we waited for the others to get off the ride.

GEDC0832.jpg

GEDC0833.jpg

Actually I really can’t even remember the order we did stuff in. For all I know I could have got it all mixed up already.. Oh well. Pretty sure we went to Tig’rr after this, which was a credit, nothing more. As Cornball and the flyers were right there, we did both of those. Everyone kind of hyped up Cornball a little too much for me (I feel as though if Snoo had shushed about it I may have liked it more), but I still enjoyed it, and it sits in my top twenty! It is different and has some nice pops of air, so I can’t complain. The flyers however, had a no snapping rule, which sucked.

GEDC0839.jpg

GEDC0840.jpg

And here is Jerry with his awesome slushie container in line!

GEDC0838.jpg

Randoms of people standing around.

GEDC0835.jpg

GEDC0836.jpg

We realized that Lost Coaster was open, so we went to ride it straight away. What a good decision this was since it ended up closing not long after, and staying closed as long as we were there!

GEDC0837.jpg

GEDC0834.jpg

As much pain as I was in, and as jerky as the coaster was, I loved it! It’s not a top twenty or anything, but it’s something I will definitely remember as being different to anything else I have been on. It is a bunch of stupid little drops and corners around a plaster-y mountain, but it is super good fun!

We then went to search for places to eat. Jerry, Aidan, and a few others went to get tacos, whereas a few others, including myself, went to look for pizza, which we couldn’t find, so we ended up eating on the Shafer Princess. Even though I waited about eighty three million hours for my burger, the boat was cute.

GEDC0841.jpg

Too bad it rocked and made me feel nauseaus. There was also a ski show going on, and when one of the actors was on fire, I didn’t realize it was part of the act and it scared me. Badtimes.

Jerry, knowing I am a fan of haunts, suggested that we pay three dollars to go in the park’s haunt, Frankenstein’s Castle.

GEDC0849.jpg

It was a poor haunt, but it was really long and had a cool room with like, ten doors that just kept leading us back to the same room. Stupid me decided to open one of the doors and got a huge blast of air in my face, causing me to scream and be laughed at.. As usual!

When we got out, Brad and Marcus were playing in the arcade, so we all joined them.

GEDC0843.jpg

GEDC0844.jpg

This is when I got to show off my air hockey skills! I had beaten Brad and we decided to have a best of three game. Well, I won the best of three in the other arcade, which was amazing, but in the best of five, I lost!

After doing some rerides on Cornball, Hoosier, and Steel Hawg, Marcus realized he had lost his wallet, so some of us just faffed around, took pictures, and played in the arcade some more.

GEDC0848.jpg

Marcus came back with the bad news that he didn’t find it, so we left the park.

GEDC0850.jpg

On the way to our hotel in Perrysburg, I snapped this shot of the infamous Swiss Miss, purchased earlier in the trip.
GEDC0854.jpg

Silly Marc likes bushes ;) .

GEDC0857.jpg

This ended up being a good night, and when we got to our rooms, after jumping around on the beds for a little bit, having rematch wrestling, rugby tackles, and me looking amazing in a hat, we decided to all take a trip to Pizza Hut. On the way, we drove through some ice cream place which was pretty much jail bait central. All the guys pretty much had their heads out the window, drooling! Unfortunately for them, we didn’t end up going there, but I bet if any of them are ever back in the area, they will make it a point to visit!

After Pizza Hut, we got back to the hotel where me, Aidan, and Brad went on the hotel computer. It was here that I got Fraped. Yes, Facebook raped. My status was changed to “I like cock and pussyjuice,” which lead to like a million notifications and me getting scolded when I got home, even though it was hardly my fault! I also got injured as they were carrying me down the hall and decided to take a spill. This was also the night in which this was filmed:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IoVXXgmUxFQ

Yay!

Eventually we went into the other room to chill for a bit, but then Marcus kicked us all out, so we went to bed.

Another excellent trip report, Matt. Your photos are awesome and it's nice to hear your opinion about all the rides. And yes, I love you too, and I miss you.
