Saw Lesbian Vampire Killers yesterday...was dire...don't get me wrong I wasn't expecting anything great but was hoping for a bit more lesbo action....I was very disappointed....no <img> material for me now!!

I've got some, *ahem* 'films' you could watch...

^ Yeah I see why you were dissapointed by Lesbian Vamire Killers. They only made out for gods sake! xD Oh well better luck for the undoubtable sequil!

I just watched Mulholland Drive.

I'm still confused.

It was half awesome, half dire and pointless.

It's like the Tate Modern exploded on a film.

I can't rate it.

*shrug*

Role Models

****ing hilarious. I loved this movie from beginning to end.

10/10 easily.

Miracle at St. Anna

Interesting Spike Lee movie about a black WWII squad who gets lost in Italy.. and finds some interesting things. Watch the trailer.. you'll get it.

I liked it.. it wasn't amazing.. but I liked it.

8/10

10/10 for Role Models Snoo? Really? I thought it was good but it didn't keep me laughing the whole way through like say, Superbad or Anchorman. Maybe I need to watch it again.

It was just the silly type of humor that had me laughing out loud.. much like Superbad. The little black kid had me dieing.. because I know people JUST like him.. haha.

Anchorman I didn't laugh at all tho.. :p

lol, I've actually spent pretty much the whole day on IMDB, special features and even a book trying to figure it out, and I still don't get it...

A friend of mine who's a bit of an expert on Lynch is typing up theories to email me as I type now, so, we'll see if I understand after that.

I'm watching Mars Attacks! now though. Because it's Burton's best. And Burton through-and-through. And I was missing Burton.

Well please send on those theories if it helps you. Burton's Mars Attacks is a good choice, I feel like watching that now.

Knowing

Pretty good, and you enjoy it for the first 3/4 of it... you think, hmmmm this could turn out to be something interesting, and then the ending happens.... *sigh Some decent special effects though, but the action is too far inbetween... and the trailer is very misleading (i know most are, but it does look like some day after tomorrow type thing, and its really not)

6/10

Mars Attacks is awesome! Its not a great movie in all fairness but it makes up in its subliminal jokes, like hippies starting a war.

^ I never did finish Mars Attacks, because I fell asleep, though now that I think about it, I'll probably try to watch it again.

(i know most are, but it does look like some day after tomorrow type thing, and its really not)

Not really, I mean, we may have seen different trailers, but I got "lame-o action drama movie trying to be epic" kind of thing from the trailer, not really a Day After Tomorrow thing.

...Memento is far linier than Watchmen. Still, I'm digging up something that's completely forgotten about....

Saw Oldboy last weekend... It's one of those movies that just 'Oh my ****ing god's you at the end. I found it brilliant and just really compelling.
Story is well told and very well shot - with one of the best fight scenes I've seen. I mean, it's an amazing fight scene taken the fact it took just one shot.

A Korean masterpiece (well, one of anyways - I know a lot of people would debate it)
Sick & twisted ending, which I must say - didn't surprise me MUCH but was a brilliant twist.

I really recommend people to see it and just give it a go. It may seem slow, but that's your fault for not having an attention span big enough? To sit and watch the movie 'til the end is just totally worth it...

10/10

Now I really want to give Sympathy for Mr Vengeance and Lady Vengeance a go...

I watched Boy in the Striped Pyjamas last night. Was short, yet effective. The innocence of the children is so overwhelming, as is the mother's role. Compelling.

9/10

Oldboy is amazing, one of my favourite films.
