Milestones in Your Counts

What^ what is it about then?

It's about if you have a particularly special coaster as a milestone.

So Maverick, or TTD, or Nemesis, or Balder, or something just a bit special, you make sure your milestone in your count, matches a major coaster.

Some people like Ben are being ironic with the Log ride, but irony like this wore thin very quickly.

(The Scenic is a milestone coaster as it's the oldest in the UK, well, I reckon it's important anyway, if a bit crap  ).

Lol, my first relativly major coaster was air, my first upside downy one was Corkcrew (AT), which it is for alot of people!

So where they your 25th? 50th? 1000th coaster?

If not, then they're not a major coaster at the same time you hit a milestone in your coaster count.

It's a pretty simple concept.

Example of a good response to this discussion:

Yes! I made sure that I'd done 99 coasters before Cedar Point last year, then bagged Maverick as my hundredth coaster. I think it's great to mark a special point in your count with a special coaster

A bad example would be:

1st: Enigma (Cannonball Express), Pleasurewood hills
My 50th will be at Lightwater Valley, or Flamingo land, so I will celebrate by buying the on-ride photo!

:p

Well Engima was good when I was little, lol, m'eh just forget it, I don't have many milestones to be proud of...

I dont really care, cant even remember what my No.1, 50 or 100 coasters were. I prefer just riding anything, and I wouldn't hold out on riding a favourite coaster just to be able to place it at a milestone in my cc.

Agreed.

I can't remember mine either, so I just ride any coaster for 1st, 50th, 100th etc. But I think my first was the Dragon's Apprentice at Legoland. I can't remember my 50th.

It's amazing the amount of people who don't read what the <img> topic is about....

If you were talking about my post then I said I didn't care which was one of the points in Taylor's post.

If not, then I hope this post isn't spam. :)

No- if you notice we posted at exactly the same time ;)

1 - Cirkus Expressen (Liseberg)
50 - Speed Monster (Tusenfryd)
100 - Kvasten (Gröna Lund)
150 - Diavlo (Himeji Central Park)
200 - Fantasia Special (Tongdo Fantasia)

Nothing that causes a stir in the trouser department, but here goes.

1st Looping Star-Margate

25th Dunno

50th Infusion-Blackpool.

See told ya.

the milestone coasters I remember are riding the Big Dipper when I was 6. (Coaster number 1)

and then planning it out so The Patriot would be my 50th.

I really have no idea. I'm not even 100% sure what the very first coaster was. Even now, I don't enter them in the order I've ridden them. I just don't see the importance at all.

I really haven't been paying attention. My count was over 50
before I started going on coaster websites. I don't recall what
number 100 was. For me, when I rode Top Thrill Dragster, that
was a memorable moment. At 400 ft., that was the one that
put me in this group of people who really care about these rides.

I suspect my first was clown coaster at Chessington, but I don't even remember that, I only know I went on it because my dad says I did. Was in '94.

I remeber my number 1, Runaway Mine Train at Alton. I also know my 62, Rollercoaster, a small Pinfari, and 68, Rattlesnake at Chessington, Landmark will be 100th.

But, on topic, I will hold something big for my 100th, I want to have something serious for that spot, and for that matter my 75th.

My first roller coaster was the Matterhorn at Disneyland, when I was around three. Thank God for low height restrictions!

My fiftieth (which, at this point is my largest milestone) was the Screamer at Scandia in Ontario, California. A basic Miler coaster, nothing super special, but hey that's that!

I'm at 78 coasters right now, only 22 more to go till the hundredth.
