Fair enough!

So if they have predicted rain they delay it for week?
Put it this way, it's unlikely to be raining at 8pm in September! Even though it's in the monsoon season :p.*

'Malaysia's Prime Minister Najib Razak said: "In the future, we may allocate a different time."' - no ****! http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/7985631.stm

The Times said:
Among the losers numbered Kimi Raikkonen, who destroyed a set of wet tyres after a call from the pitwall by Michael Schumacher, the Ferrari team consultant, to switch to them too early.
Tactical genius? :p

*Obviously it's now going to piss down!

Well more bad news today for Mclaren.

It looks like they will have to go before the world council to explain what happened.

Merc are having a shareholders meeting on Thursday and it sounds like they could be out of F1 at the end of the year and sell their shares in Mclaren.

I reckon Mercedes could jump ship at McLaren, and go over to Brawn, leaving McLaren to go the way of Williams.

Didn't they already get a fine over this? Haven't they already had a punishment (the DQ)?

Slap on the backside then and a huge fine coming their way. I do think that (after the very poor start to the season so far), that a ban would cause a huge loss of interest in the sport.

^I think the DQ was just Hamilton's punishment, and the team itself has yet to be punished.

I have a feeling Mclaren will be finded, but they could be banned.

But what the FIA need to remember is the more they do the worse image F1 gets and it puts it in the news even longer. Mclaren at the moment stand to lose everything, sponcers, engine and drivers.

If the FIA ban them Mclaren may as well shut up shop, that will be it for them simple they are still a private team no matter what people say.

Lain Merc are looking to pull out, not go to another team but totally pull out at the end of the year. This lie stuff has just moved it all forward. They stood by Mclaren with the spy stuff but there is only so much give and take that can be allowed.

Merc supply 3 teams at the moment, but Max will be happy to see them go that way he gets his standard engine sold.

Mclaren after the spy stuff were put in a 2 year probation lie again and your out. Well its not been 2 years and thats the problem.

^^Why should people lose interest if for once the punishment is deserved. Most people in this country have forgotten what's his face. Hill? Hawthorn? in favour of Button.

I've already lost interest. No point in watching a race where it can take a week for the results to actually be decided. The finishing positions don't reflect the actual results.

The FIA have put in so many rules, the people taking part don't understand what is happening and going on. The casual viewer (or somebody who may be interested in becoming a fan) has no chance.

We still have the ruling over the diffusers to come yet - that could shake up the entire championship. I like following the news about F1, but have less and less desire to watch the actual races as the days go on. Why bother?

Funny that they prioritise European audiences even though Europe is losing grand prix's to other parts of the world. Surely attracting audiences from other parts of the world should be important too.

Fingers crossed that they dump Malaysia altogether as I'm not a big fan of the circuit.

Oh bugger me! I'd forgotton about that!

Then, yes, they could very well likely be thrown out this time.

If you think Mclaren will be thrown out of F1 then you are deluded.

It will NEVER happen.

I think Ron Dennis would have to physically beat the **** out of Bernie Ecclestone for them to be thrown out and he would still debate about it.

There is far to much money, interest, fans etc in Mclaren and it would never be a good thing for F1, anyone can see that.

Believe me I don't want to see them thrown out! Competition is good for F1 and the more teams the better, but....

No one ever knows what the hell is going on inside the FIA and as Marc says it is a big possibility. :(

SO they now plan on using the same engine in F1, WRC and F2.
That is seriously ****ed up and wrong, we've gone from 1000bhp v10 mosters to 2 litre v8s with a high-tech version of what Essex chavs in supermarket carparks have in their tarted up Novas. In essex, nitrous is cool, using a high-tech version in F1 however, is not, and now all the cars will have the same engines. F1 is turning into A1GPm when it should be about inovation. KURSE, sorry KERS should not be in F1, it's now down to who brakes most wins, and you only get it refilled at the end of a lap, like Need For Speed games. F1 really is getting worse...

Still, another win for Jenson, and has anyone else noticed just how much Button looks like Chris Martin of Coldplay? It's uncanny..."How was the car Jenson?""...It was all Yellow..."
Wow that was the worst joke I've ever made...

Max wanted to throw them out last year, Bernie saved them but can not this time. It can happen simple as that, but I think it will be a fine and a 2 race ban.

But they are being stupid, no Merc could mean no BMW and we could lose Renault at the end of the year anyway and if Toyota dont win a race then thats the end of them as well.

Tbh the long term future of F1 is ****ed anyway, this could bring it forward.

Hamilton deserves to finish last this year, and the lying scandal proves he is a personality-less walking advertising board with no thought of his own. If you cut off his head there would just be wires, he is a robot for McLaren. But a blody talented robot I must admit. But after this all respect and admiration I had for him is gone.

Ralf has said today lying is part of the sport you have to follow what the team tells you.

Alonso lied in 2007 at Hungry, MS has lied in the past as has Hill. Prost lied all the way from 1989 to 1994 when he finally admitted taking Senna out in 1989. So please dont think this is new its just this time they have been caught in the act.

I have less respect for Lewis, but most people would lie to keep their job would they not?

Max lied to his wife for 40 odd year.

How many times were we told by Ferrari there were no team order?

I couldn't agree with you more Marc!

How many of you would lie if your boss told you to? Don't go taking the morale high ground either because I am pretty sure at least some of you would.

Seriously, once again, people are making far too much of this, partly because of who it is! Get over it already...

^ Again, it depends on what you're being told to lie about or for.

In this case, there was no point relative to the potential penalty if you see what I mean.

But both of you have a very valid point and depending on circumstance, yes, yes I would :p
