I like that sound as well, for me in car sounds great I love the rough sound it's just out side the car you can hardly hear them.

Part of that can be addressed by the cameras as the v8's on track were so much louder than on tv.

Just read the rules of the league thing and yep understand it now. It had changed from when I last done the driver swap one. Oh well lol.

The one which you can change drivers is actually the better one to be on and people on there tend to get more points than the one on the fixed one. So Jerry and I done really well last year to finish 1st and 3rd. Next year will 100% go for the other one, can see why Neal said it was a no brainier now.
 
So far the cars seem quiet close, merc are destroying their tyres. New year same **** from them by looks of it.

Rbr are looking very good, no tyre wear problems there.

I expect merc to lock out the front row but they will probably need to take it easy in the race.
 
PSA for the Brits: Once you're finished with the F1 in the morning, the new season of the BTCC starts at Brands Hatch tomorrow. Seven champions on the grid this year (including reentries Alain Menu and Fabrizio Giovanardi). Should be great!

Until the statement comes from the hospital I don't believe anything tbh.

Family and friends don't give true stories. Years ago when my dad was clearly not getting better my mum kept telling their friends he was. Sorry to say this has made me not really trust his family or manager.

Hope he is getting better though, but also hope the guy who wakes up is him if you know what I mean.
 
Cannot believe the rules might be changed by Spain to get rid of the fuel flow limit. Ferrari and Renualt have done a worse job than merc so the rules might be changed.

Merc have done a better job, they can run higher revs get the mileage and not have to save fuel like Renualt and Ferrari. As merc have said they all had the same time to build the engines, the others should have done a better job.

I do agree it's silly the advantage merc have got, the actual team and others with the engine. But f1 has always had dominate teams, they will never get equal teams it's the way it is.
 
Yup, totally agree. And we all know Honda will make everyone else look pants next year when McLaren run away with the title!
 
It's rbr wanting it changed as well, what a shock that is lol.

They are being stupid if they increase the flow merc will have even more power and will still get better mileage.

Even for the race today Renault and Ferrari are going to have to turn their engines down more than merc.

Really don't get why they want it changed already.

The Honda engine will be great, it's mclaren that will be the weak link. They just don't seem to be able to get the car right, even force India and Williams have got a better car than them right now.

But saying that with close links with Honda they should be able to intergrate the engine and car better, a lot like the main merc team have done this year.

The rbr car is still the best car on track.

What's shocking me this year is just how bad and moody vettel is.

I got 123 on the grid will probably be all off at turn one lol, bit shocked the hulk got beaten by Perez. Still expect lewis to win the race if they are allowed to race. Lewis looked really upset after quali, will be interesting to see how be copes if nico does beat him in the race.

So far this weekend no one has got off pole well.
 
What a race, not sure when it's been allowed to move three times to defend but lewis got away with it.

No team orders at merc.

Mal should be banned for a race, what an idiot. It nearly **** up lewis win and it did cost force India one place nearly two, it cost Williams as well and helped rbr.
 
That was fantastic. They were team orders Marc, Lauda said so after the race, Nico just ignored them. And good on him! =)

I was going on the paddy interview where he said the only order was not to crash but they could race. Later on lauda has said there were no team orders.

When you get racing like today who cares what the engines sound like :)

I got 1st, 2nd, 5th, and 8th was looking at 1234 for a while lol.
 
Well done I'm 5th on the one I chose :)

Option 1 has the top 50 positions.

Mal only got a 5 place grid drop, what a joke.

Wow! And 71st ain't too shabby either Marc. Well done both of you. You're blowing the rest of us away (like Mercedes is doing to Renault :wink: ).
 
Still cannot believe they were lapping 3 seconds faster than the next car, that's just stupid. It's a gap that cannot be closed I really think if they stay reliable they will win every race this year.
 
Isn't Bernie talking about making changes to even things back out again?
 
They were talking about it but merc pointed out that if extra fuel is given they will be even faster and they don't actually need the extra fuel to run higher revs.

Kimi has also pointed out its not just the top end power it's traction as well. The merc teams could pass him coming out of corners.

They are going to make the cars louder though from Spain.

The worst engine is actually the Ferrari. It's too heavy, fuel thirsty and not even that powerful.

Had it not been for the safety car merc would have had the top 6 places, possibly even 7 had mclarens not broken.
 
Looks like china will be a close race, merc seem to not have the best car when it comes to aero and Ferrari have closed right in.

However a lot of people do not seem to think Ferrari will make the fuel last at the pace they were running this morning.
 
McLaren miles off the pace either way though.

Dunno if you lot saw it but when Maldonado crashed entering the pits they cut to the Renault mechanics watching it and they didn't realise they were being filmed, they just laughed and shook their heads rofl
 
The wall moved and he hit it, totally not his fault :)

No idea what Ferrari are upto but it looks like they are setting the car up for one lap as over long runs they are a second slower than Merc.

Nico is fastest over a long run.

Mclaren are lacking a top driver, sorry but button is not one and when at Honda they suffered with car development. I think button is too nice and does not speak his mind enough. Even at brawn button kept going the wrong way with setup, Rubens was getting more out the car in some races, was the same sometimes with lewis he was winning button was 12th. Mclaren need a diver who will just drive the car and push the team.

Yes people will say button out scored lewis, yes on paper he did but that does not take into account that 3 times lewis broke down in the lead and had he not lewis would have out scored button.

Both Ferrari and mclaren have suffered since the testing ban, both would test and test and since the ban neither have won a championship.
