The video isn't appearing for me.

Either way, it's not official. We'll have to wait and see.

Give up Adamsayzlol, give up. Hahaha.

Seriously, it's not happening until solid evidence is provided.

Fine, It's just every theme park I'm close too, seriously needs new rides. I just thought it would be amazing that something like this is going to happen, but I guess not. I'll stop doing this topic.

I think we all want a new coaster at DMP, but we never excite ourselves until there is an official source. There are always going to be renderings of new 'supposed rides', and very good ones at that, but sadly no matter how good they are it doesn't make it any closer to being a realism.

And also as a thrill seeker don't get your hopes up, no matter what DMP installs I highly doubt it will be targeted at the thrill seekers, especially as it would most likely replace the buffalo coaster.

Keep hoping for 2015 though :)

That is true since Drayton Manor is a family theme park, I'll just wait until there is an announcement, sorry I got carried away :( at least there's Alton Towers I'm going too next year :--D

I wouldn't hold your breath for a new coaster in the next few years, let alone 2014. Drayton Manor have clearly identified their target market, and no doubt all future investment will be put into Thomas Land and the new proposed 3 star hotel.

Seriously, This is your topic, this argument wouldn't even happen because of you and know your doubting this yourself !

Er, I'm not doubting myself? We all pretty much established on page one that the concept art turned out to be nothing more than an elaborate mock up.

Drayton don't stick to anything they say these days anyway. FTR, we were promised a new flat ride on the old Black Revolver site. The reality was a Monorail attraction for nearby Thomasland

^If it's anything wooden I'll be content; the Uk badly needs a new woodie!

The site about a month ago and it certainly is a sufficiently large space. It's very little but it's just to show the current site. If they're going to build any new coaster, they will build it here!

(I was really tempted to photoshop in a pile of sticks  )

I found plans for a water park ? I thought it was another concept art , but I found it again on Theme parks uk. Im not sure if it will happen , there isn' t enough room. What do you think?

The plans could be genuine or fan conception.

Drayton Manor DID actually have plans for a waterpark a few years ago but decided against it. It was around the time they started planning for the hotel. I'm guessing cost and location ultimately put them off.

As for a new coaster for DMP in 2014? Not going to happen, for 2014 at least. we would have heard or seen something by now. It's a shame because with Merlin, Flamingoland and PBB not adding a coaster for 2014 DMP would have had the chance to grab some headlines over the other parks. Shame.

The waterpark wasn't allowed by planners and due to cost hasn't been resubmitted since.

As for the coaster as i have mentioned before the plans are still for the duel launched coaster replacing the buffalo, originally that was due to happen for next year but i would say more 2015 now at the earliest.

Excalibur is still due its splash battle makeover
pirates is still due to be removed at somepoint and thomas land extended inside
and there is still meant to be a thrill ride planned for the black revolver site
but again timescale for any of these is still a mystery but they are the plans.

Yeah, park management showed me the markers for the flat ride at the Black Revolver site when I visited in July 2012.

One of these were planned:

It was supposed to open in 2013 but obviously didn't. In a nutshell, they can't borrow any money for new attractions until the hotel is paid off, which should be this year. I predict a flurry of new rides once the hotel is no longer a financial burden.
