There was talk about a Mack launch coaster last year but nothing has actually happened to suggest it will ever materialise, and once again, DMP won't be getting a new major attraction until AFTER the hotel has been paid off. There will definitely NOT be a 2014 DMP coaster. There has been no ground clearing, no footers laid, and no track spotted anywhere. Not going to happen.

Blue fire will not happen either, a family Mack launcher like Manta at SeaWorld San Diego is a possibility but I'm betting on a Vekoma family launch coaster for 2015/2016.

Hang on, just hang on. I can understand about the hotel being paid off, but were still in 2013, What's to say they might place footers around march in 2014, it will be open around july or august. Drayton Manor did say that they were fascinated by Blue Fire, but there is no proof, while the Vekoma launch coaster, there is proof nothing is said about that. This has been said probably hundred's of times, we can't say anything until solid evidence is proven.

Why would they start building it in March and open it in July/August? That's just NOT going to happen. I can't think of many UK park operators that have ever deployed that tactic. It's like telling the public not to bother visiting for the first half of the season.

And I've already explained why Blue Fire is extremely unlikely, in the same breath why they won't get a Hyper. It's a huge investment that won't pay off whilst they are targeting the young family audience.

I don't mean to be rude Adam, but you've got to stop telling us that a 2014 coaster will happen based on Internet rumours. By all means start a new topic discussing what you think DMP will build in the future but this topic is pretty much dead now.

Yeah, this is kind of getting silly now. If anything happens for Drayton for next year, which, let's face it, won't be a coaster, either PM one of the mods to reopen and rename this topic, or else just start a new one completely.
