RollerCoasterFanatic, I'm also atheist, but what I meant was saying there are no ghosts because there is no surefire evidence of them and calling people "childish" for believing in them is the exact same thing as calling religious people childish, because there is no surefire proof of God yet so many people believe in him.

Anyway, irrelevent, I believe in ghosts and that is all. I mean I have to believe SOMETHING happens after you die.. I'm scared enough of death as it is, I don't want to live my life believing I'm gonna feel and be nothing for the rest of.. well, ever.

When you die, you get buried or burned. You decompose in the ground and that is it. You may or may not go to heaven, if you believe in that, but you definitely rot six feet under.
