AVATAR Land for Animal Kingdom WDW

Speaking of legs, why did the animals all have multiple legs except the humanoids?

Well, if all the other megafauna have multiple legs, it would be highly likely that the humanoids would too.

Prob more to do with making them look too unsexy.
 
To be fair, a lot of my friends loved Avatar. To me, it was one of the most pointless films I've ever seen. Lets be honest, it was made to show off it's special cgi effects, which it did. But everything else was just **** too me. So as a ride it could be pretty cool, flying through the tree planet (I've forgotten the name). However I would much rather have something more Disney. I'm still surprised there's no Lion King ride!
 
If it turns out like that, I think it'll look amazing. Despite all the hate, I think this will make a great addition to the park, and anything that gives it an excuse to open later is a bonus for me.
 
As horrible as the whole idea of Avatar is, if anyone can match the concept art with the finished product, it's Disney.

Regardless of how much I hate the idea, this will look stunning.
 
I still can't get excited for Avatar. I know it will look nice but that's all Disney seems to be good for these days, making things look nice.

However I will say the Kilimanjaro night time ride will be really fun, that I'm more excited about than Avatar.
 
I'm a little interested to know if they are going to do anything about the simple fact that the park has almost no lighting. I've been there for a late dinner reservation on a day when sunset was before closing, and the place is dark as hell. I know that it's a conscious decision for theme and to avoid disturbing the critters, but seriously. It's almost difficult to get around when most of the light is that coming from gift shop windows and ride platforms.
 
Half the concepts look like movie stills.

There's no information in them about the physical theme park experience.

I don't understand what they're for, other than to say "yo! Avatar looks like this, just in case you didn't know... "
