^^I've seen that somewhere before - the link doesn't actually show where it is, but the pictures are fab. Nepal is springing to mind? Or was it Mexico?

^The thing is, it's that small that even if it did collapse you'd only sustain minor injuries. Definitely worth it for a cred!

This is known as a Wild Wind, manufactured by Interpark (the company which now own the rights to Pinfari) of Italy. One of them, which has been set up at Playland Park, Keansburg Amusement Park and then Motor World, is believed to have never opened to the public, due to the G Forces being too strong in the weird sidewinder/half cobra roll whatever that thing is. Five others are currently operating, though. Probably a couple more that travel, too.

Judging by this pic, it could have offered some good fun.

It apparently never opened because during a trial run the two guys that built it fell off. I think that was the right idea.
 
That sorta looks like fun. Ofcourse it isn't the safest thing but would be a thrill to see if you could stay on.

(Even though I would proberly request body armour if the guys fell off)

Earlier this year I was going to start a thread about this pub garden 'cred' that I rode when I was young. Must have been around 15 years ago now. But I didn't bother with the thread as I didn't expect anyone to know wtf I was going on about!

This ride used to be at Yun Hsien Resort in Taipei (Taiwan)) and is one of those guided rail rides that used to be popular in Asia. Not that weird in itself. But some of the track is now used as part of an Ostritch enclosure. (Mainly I hope in the above picture that's not a REAL lion :p )

The park used to have one of the most stunning settings for a coaster ever IMO

^ I remember spotting this one a while back. It looks so unusal :) Aren't they using roller coaster cars as flower pots too?

Roomraider's post also reminded me of this. Great American Scream Machine no longer stands at Six Flags Great Adventure, but the top section of one of its loops remains as a set of monkey bars at Wild Safari:

I remember someone pointing out that fab zoo theming in June. Can;t remember what ride we were on at the time, it obviously wasn't El Toro though!!
 
That piece of GASM's loop has been there since the 1990's. Can't remember as to how the piece got there, though.

Hm.. cred, or not? I say no, since it doesn't come back to the station by design. Of course, neither do alpine coasters. :wink:
