What's new

Walt Disney World

In a number of "status" interviews Disney has done on galactic starcruiser, there was a lot of affirmation that elements of what they learned through it's development and implementation, especially to what it's like doing immersive-heavy experience, could play through other future attractions. If anything, a part of me would wonder if they'd open up the starcruiser as a restaurant/bar experience (for a generous upcharge, I'm sure), which would allow them to carry over parts of the interactive showiness, such as the Kylo/Rey lightsaber fight scene.

IDK, that doesn't explain the need necessarily for construction permits, so could be off-base and there's something more fundamentally retrofitty afoot.

.....and it was gone.....

So I'm sure y'all may have encountered this as its apparently done a bit viral in the last week or two, but this FOUR HOUR LONG (!!!!!*) deep dive into what that Starcruiser business was really like, is fascinating - and I guess if you have FOUR HOURS to spare, worth a watch ;)

I think that I wasn't aware of how much the whole thing was an "app-led experience" - all sounds quite painful to me.

Excellent work though (the video, rather than the experience).

(* yes I did watch all 4 hours, albeit over a number of days)
