Walibi Holland | Lost Gravity | Mack Rides mega coaster

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

Looks like we could possibly have a name! Taken from the walibi snapchat

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

I can make out Gravity SC. I'm 99% sure that SC means Spinning Coaster.

Gravity is an interesting name for this type of ride.

It says Lost Gravity (with gravity being upside-down), which is supposedly the name for the coaster.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

Lost Gravity makes a lot of sense if the coaster is full of airtime and inversions. HOPING.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

I'm resigning myself to this being a spinner and if i'm wrong then I'll be ecstatically happy.
Too many things are pointing to it being a large spinner, especially the interview with the Mack CEO @ IAAPA referencing 3 prototypes for 2016 and this not being one of those.

Whatever it is I'll be heading there next year.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

Park has confirmed on Twitter that it's called Lost Gravity.

Damn and here i was hoping it was called Gravity Lost (which sounds better to me) and that sign would rotate round and round.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

Lost Gravity is a horrific name.

Is it supposed to refer to airtime cause that's just messed up.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

Apparently this is the current state of construction
Still none the wiser really

Ah it's Tobi again! What a legend.

I love how we still don't have a clue as to what they're doing.

Them airtime hills look intense, I really don't have a clue what this will be though.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

First drop, plus 3 elements before the MCBR is quite long in terms of single car spinners.... And the lift flattens out for a bit before the drop, that surely points to a longish train?

Nothing about this points to your usual Mack spinner, so I'm keeping fingers crossed.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

If this is a spinner, I'll cry.

Edit:

It's looking more plausible to be a spinner...

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

So far, the layout shows no inversions, but a sharp drop and an interesting horseshoe thing.....which remind me of elements on Sonic Spinball.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

Those airtime hills on a spinning coaster would be pretty insane.

I hope it's not a spinning coaster really, but I wouldn't grumble if that's what this ended up being.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

I'm guessing it'll be a bit like Cobra's Curse, in which the spinning only unlocks after a certain point. Well, if it is a spinner.

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

Nothing about the layout screams "Mack spinner" to me. Plus the double catwalk on the lift. Plus RCDB still has it as a custom Mack Mega Coaster ;)

Re: Walibi Holland | Unknown | Mack (unknown)

Perhaps Mack are entering the world of 4D coasters with this?
Might as well throw that out there, why not :p.
