Walibi Holland | Lost Gravity | Mack Rides mega coaster

I can't help but feel slightly underwhelmed by that POV? I know that POV's can be excessively deceiving, but it just seems to somewhat lack a 'punch' or the odd snappy transition that Mack have on their other coasters. I'll reserve full judgement until I ride, but yeah, it seems the potential this has has somewhat diminished :(

Double post:

Here's some off-ride and POV footage.

Another POV:

It looks 'fun', but that's about it. It's like Mack'a version of a Gerstlauer Eurofighter/Infinity Coaster.

A nice off-ride video. Take a look at the swaying of the small airtime hump after the first drop (0:40).

This video makes it look a lot fiercer (especially with the opening three elements). An exciting addition to the universe of coasters just based on the layout alone. Can't wait to read people's reviews!

The water jet is cool I guess. Makes the second half more stimulating. And I think they overdid it with the soundtrack.

^Wobbling, though looks bad, is good for a coaster. It means the track has some slack in terms of stress. If it wobbles none, then it's either perfect engineering and design, or it's very suseptible to fractures and deterioration.

Yeah I know; I was trying to say if I didn't know it was a natural thing which happens on coasters, that long, noticeable wobble would be a worry to me. And I can certainly understand why some people would be concerned by that. :p

So I got to ride this last weekend. Thought id throw my thoughts in here.

First, and most importantly, it is a fun ride. Not like "omfg that's the best thing ever!", just really enjoyable.

The seats are comfortable, but anyone who's ridden Blue Fire etc already knew that. The train design works quite well, as does the whole random theme too. The queue is random and full of interesting things to look at - yay!

The first drop is excellent, as is the crazy little hill/bump after it. Love it. The weird element after that is just, weird, yet somehow manages to work quite well. The mid course brake needs turning off or a less ridiculous option needs to be put in place as that thing murders the second half. Due to that brake the hang time is awful and where there should be some airtime you just slowly flow over the hills. It's still fun, it would just be miles better if it went around the second half of the ride as insane as the first.

Oh I also made a little video...
