Trip Plans For 2014

Any tips from the locals?

When in Branson, eat breakfast at Billy Gail's.

I will warn you: The parking is very limited, it's a hole in the wall, they only take cash, and you will likely wait 45min - 1 hour to be seated. However, it is the best breakfast anywhere.

Thanks very much, that sounds great. :) There's nothing better than starting a park day with an epic breakfast. I do love the US for that. Also excited to go back to Texas for the awesome Mexican food down there. Nom.

Jordan, any time you want to talk about minerals, I'm all yours. My new favourite I only just found out about: vigezzite.

Sue, Don't bother with SWSA unless you're going for the experience. It's not worth the entry for what's there in terms of coasters. If you don't plan to spend the day there just don't bother. That's just my opinion though.

Sue you can def do Kemah Boardwalk along with Galveston Pier they're pretty much next to each other ;)

Third week in April I'm going to Six Flags New England.
One week later Six Flags Magic Mountain for three days.
In July Six Flags Great Adventure sometime.
Canobie Lake Park a few times.
Wish I lived closer to some cedar fair parks, the closest is Dorney and that is 6 hours away. Guess I'll stick to six flags. Should still be a fun year though.

April is reserved for a day at Walibi Belgium, to see how they manage to transform their Lucky Luke City area into a brand new The SkunX-zone.

In may, there will be the annual visit to Efteling.

And finally, June 14th and 15th, the trip I'm looking forward to the most: Europa Park!

And of course, to close the 2014 season; Halloween Zombie Invasion at Walibi Belgium!

I've got a half day at work on Friday, meaning that I've pretty much got a long weekend. My first thought was to head over to Zhuhai to get to Ocean Kingdom (new park with a B&M Wing Coaster) and Mysterious Island, but I haven't got a Chinese visa and don't really have time this week to get one sorted.

Anyway, instead I've just booked a flight to Kaohsiung in Southern Taiwan, so I'll get to E-DA Theme Park which has the world's only Vekoma Big Air coaster, basically a giant, 200ft shuttle coaster. There are no other parks particularly close though, so it'll just be the one.

A flight for one Vekoma? Someone's trying early for credit whore of the year. Rather you than me, that Big Air looks disgusting.

^ Oh Christ no. I just want to get away for the weekend and flights between Hong Kong and Taiwan are cheap.

I've been to Taipei already, so thought I'd try Kaohsiung, the next biggest city over there. The park, with four coasters, is a fortunate byproduct.

My older brother lives in San Francisco and he invited me to come visit him some time this year. He also said he'd be willing to spend a day at SFDK, and possibly CGA.

Flamingo Land and then Lightwater Valley on the 26th and 27th. Benidorm next month where hopefully Mundomar (no creds but DOLPHINS) and Terra Mitica will be sorted. Once they're done I'll look into booking Liseberg.

I haven't sorted flights yet - going to wait until my credit card statement gets issued on Tuesday so that I can put them on the next one - but I've got hotels booked for Los Angleles, Anaheim, San Francisco (sooooooo **** ing expensive for absolute crap) and Las Vegas in August.

Not a massive year credit wise, but slightly better than 2012 and 2013.

May:
Copenhagen- Tivoli, Bakken, BonBon and EUROVISION <3.

September:
Vietnam - Dam Sen Park and maybe Suoi Tien Park in Ho Chi Minh City
Cambodia - No creds
Thailand - Siam Park City and maybe Dream World in Bangkok

There are a few more parks with individual creds but we don't really have the time to be whoring. Also going with a non enthusiast <///3. Nothing decent whatsoever but but anywhere with 3 or more has to be done for the numbers <3.

May: Efteling
June: Europa Park for 2 days! Finally!
August: Walibi Belgium Summer Nocturne
October: Walibi Belgium Halloween, due to the rumored twist in the long-running story and two brand new haunted houses!

Summer:
-Busch Gardens Williamsburg
-Six Flags America
-Go Karts Plus (kiddie cred)
-Central Park Funland (kiddie cred)
