These are the games I play
.
1)
Some kind of Guitar Hero thing- It's fun, dunno which version it is, probably an older one because it was cheap but it's fun, a bit easy for me though, I don't know why, I just picked it up and can already play most of the songs on hard. Still fun, though, especially since I'm easily amused by just about anything.
2)
Ultimate Sega Collection- Well, I got this for $20 at Best Buy and I have to say it was one of my better investments considering the entire family plays it on a daily basis. My favourite games on it are Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles (all four of which I beat already because I am awesome), Flicky, and Columns. It also has Echo, Echo the tides of Time, Vectorman, Shinobi I, Shinobi II, Shinobi III, Kid Chameleon, Streets of Rage I and II, and lots more. A lot of the games are a bit dumb but it has all the Sonics and a few other games I like so it was well worth it!
3)
Grand Theft Auto IV & Episodes from Liberty City- I don't actually know if it's GTA IV (I don't know roman numerals so I just guessed), but I know it has to do with New York and stuff. Yah, I know I'm not a gamer and I know this isn't a new game but screw it, I like bargain shopping, not paying $60-70 for new games I'm not even interested in and don't have the ability to play! I actually prefer Grant Theft Auto Vice City for the PS2 to this, it just seemed easier, more simple to control, and more fun in general. That's not to say this one is bad, but I lost interest rather fast and don't have much of a desire to pick it up again, though I assume I will one of these days to get my moneys worth!
4)
Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2011- <3<3 Probably my favourite game out of the bunch we have. The actual hunting story is really crappy, so I just tend to play the shooting galleries which are a lot of fun and so much better than story mode! I feel badass with the gun, and another bonus is that I get to embarrass my stepdad, who I believe bought the game to seek revenge for the time I beat him in a shooter at the arcade, because I beat him every time by a long shot. In the shooting galleries it has classic mode where you just shoot the animals that come by, but there are like 20 different levels and three difficulties per level. Then there's survival mode where you have to see how long you can survive being ambushed by a bunch of animals. I'd never hunt in real life but the game is awesome and I really enjoy it.
My sister also has a Kinect or whatever and though her games are a bit childish for me, I have watched her play them and even joined in, so here are the reviews for those.
Kinect Adventures- My family seemed to enjoy it but I didn't like it that much. I don't really dig the concept of having to rearrange the living room to play a game, and I don't dig how the game highlights my poor cardiac ability, haha, but that's more of a dislike of the entire kinect concept rather than the game itself. Don't get me wrong, the idea of getting kids active is brilliant, but if I wanted to be active I'd rather go for a walk or run, not play a video game. As for the game, in general the game is fun, some of the games go on a bit too long and are repetitive, but I can see why the family, and my sister, likes it. Pretty basic and good for kids, but not my bag. A cool touch is how they take your picture while you're jumping around, looking like an idiot!
Kinectimals- Didn't really get the chance to play this one much but the kinect system didn't seem to sync as well with my sister's movements than the other game did, which made it very frustrating for everyone who tried to get it to work. The game seems cute, take care of a pet and stuff, but a lot of it was based around just silly arcade games, so the way it was advertised was a bit misleading. You do get to take care of the pet too, though, but there were a lot more random games thrown in that I didn't expect to be there and that seemed a bit out of place. For most buying this, they probably expect more interaction with the animals.
