This is a tad off topic compared to the discussion, but it’s quite interesting having this thread bumped 7 years after the park opened and seeing what everyone had to say when it was being built.
Given some of the abysmally low expectations aired in this thread at the time, I actually think Red Force and Ferrari Land turned out pretty well, personally!
I got the chance to visit for myself in September. Yes, the park could be bigger for sure. There isn’t much there, and it profoundly lacks headliners other than Red Force. I also think that them opening it from 5pm-10pm, while a nice idea in theory, doesn’t work very well in execution as it means that everyone piles in once the main park closes and puts high demand on Red Force. I would say that I would also have liked it if Ferrari Land was included in the multi-day entry in the same manner as, say, Disney or Universal do their ticketing rather than you only being allowed the one day on a multi-day ticket.
With that being said, I think what’s there is actually very good. As with the main park, the theming in Ferrari Land is very nice, with some nice Italian streets and set pieces around. Red Force is also a fantastic coaster; I did find myself slightly preferring Stealth, as I don’t think the LSM launch has quite the same initial kick as the hydraulic launch does, but it’s still very big, very fast and has brilliant airtime; what’s not to like?
I also got to do the space shot side of Thrill Towers; this was fun enough, but not a particularly remarkable example of the drop tower genre.
So overall, then, I actually think that what’s there in Ferrari Land is very good! All it really needs is a bit more of it, because as things stand, it’s not very fleshed out at all for a stand-alone theme park, with Red Force being its only real headliner.
