Kentucky Kingdom Passholder Survey Names Potential Themed Areas (+ Water Park Reimagining)

Since it wasn't posted in this thread... Kentucky Kingdom will be spending over $25 million on new rides and attractions for the next two years. More details after Christmas!

In terms of other stuff going on, it appears that Thunder Run is having some funny reprofiling done at the base of the first drop, word from locals is that this is Gravity Group's Pre-Cut solution (they didn't bring it up to me during IAAPA last week). Nice new bunny hill?

It appears that Bluebeard's Bounty is sailing out. The ship is old and located in a weird dead end at the front of the park behind Lightning Run, lots of ample opportunity for something there.

There was an idea awhile ago about relocating it, possibly near Thunder Run (see: Kentucky Grove in the survey), so perhaps it’s not dead dead. It’d be pretty on brand with Herschend to relocate and pass it off as a new ride.

Herschend has just filed a ride trademark for Scout’s Squirrel Race… this park?

There’s a funny theory going around that they’re relocating both the ship and drop tower to that back end of the park in order to create a new kid’s area at the front and nab that Vekoma family boomerang coaster intended for Nashville Zoo… would be cool if true.

How could this fit in the front park? Where at?
Well, not even taking into account the planned disappearance of the road dividing the park, it would fit into the ship's plot of land quite nicely.

It's a flawed idea though, putting a duelling coaster into a slightly tougher area to find. The good news is that they just removed T3 and thus have the maintenance capacity to sustain this long-term, especially with two trains and drive tires. The front really needed another major attraction and if they try to build up this and the area around it then that could overcome the weird dead end. At the end of the day, fun to consider.
