Hersheypark |"Skyrush"| Intamin Mega

Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark

^I know right?!

With those trains being used for Candlyland Lane or whatever it's called, I think that mabye they would use them for the Skyrush station as it will be themed to trains and railroads. Mabye?

Well to say they are just starting the 1st lift hill footer, and i should imagine the lift hill is the first thing to go vertical on the ride, that the coaster is still a short way away from vertical construction yet.

Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark

On my morning nose around blogs, I found these new 3D drawings on NewsPlusNotes. http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/2011/ ... wings.html

Why it needs to be 200ft tall is beyond me. It's a ground hugger. I wonder if they open it, run it, and then go... "Oh for **** sake guys we did it again. It's too tall, it's going too fast, getting through too many wheels. Quick, slap some trims on there!"

Dunno what I make of this ride all in all. Glad there's a new ride to Hershey next year. Woud have gone back cuz it's AMAZING anyway, but yeah. <3

Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark

It's literally just Rita with a drop.

It looks fun, but, it's rather short for how tall it is, and I don't think it'll be smashing any top tens anytime soon.

This. I've worried that this will end up getting the I305 treatment and fix, with the first drop into the turn being the only way to fix that issue ><

Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark

I suspect it's a bigger issue than that and we're all goons for implying we know better than Intamin, but I don't get the recent obsession with building tall to do nothing with it.

I mean, I'm glad in a way cuz ground hugging is best, but... Yeah.

Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark

Are you guys seriously bitching about the height now?! They wanted a fast ride. There's only two ways to make a ride go fast: build a tall lift hill or have a fast launch. They apparently didn't want a launch, so this is what you get.

Who really cares if it's similar to Rita? The United States has NOTHING like Rita, and Rita doesn't have a bad layout.

Just to clarify, I'm not sucking this ride's dick - I'm just sick of everybody's bitching about certain ride aspects that aren't necessarily bad.

Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark

Mines not a complaint, but just a worry for the ride itself. Id love too see this not have any issues, but with the more recent track record Intamin has as of late, I have my worries.

I would love to be proven wrong and have worried for a non-sensible reason...

Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark

It's good news, although imo, i would not really call that vertical construction, after all that piece is stuck into the footer.

Re: "Skyrush" - Intamin Hyper - Hersheypark

Apart from the ride actually testing and opening, the most exciting thing for me is the lift hill going up - and that could be at least another couple weeks it seems. Hopefully they can pick up the pace with this.

CLICK CLICK CLICK!!!

It's about time! (Even though it was just a support)

Quick. Hand me the tissues.

Oh well, now I'm sure we can see another topic sky-rocket just because they've added one more support. Just out of curiosity, how much are they behind schedule now? I knew it was only a week a while ago, but surely it's more now?
