Gigs 'n' Tours

From 2:30pm yesterday till 8pm I was at a concert in Birmingham as I posted the other day that was free.

Verdicts:

Aaron Yorke: He started the show off, his music wasn't the right style to kick start the show off with. His music was alright apart from that.

There was then a Rock/Pop band next which I forgot the name of, didn't really get much of their music as people were pushing snd shoving. From what I did hear it was alright

There was this other 'band' called Mistys Big Adventure, they were actually decent even if it is more of a what sounds like a kiddies band. There was this scary blue man as part of their 'band'

McFly were next. Most people had come to see them. Considering the NEC has sold out of tickets for the Birmingham McFly gig this was very good, enjoyed them a lot even though I don't like them much.

Leona Lewis was next, she was really good. Couldn't hardly here her over the music on her first song but Bleeding Love got the crowd going, she was excellent.

The band I had basically come for Scouting For Girls was on next, they were running late but blooming hell they rocked.

These Feather people came on next called Funky Feathers instead of watching them waving feathers about most people just sang along to the song in the background. Mariah Carey - All I Want For Christmas is You.

Booty Luv next, they were good even if I don't like them much.

Sugababes were the final ones as they were swtiching the lights on, fantastic to say the least. Played a decent selection of songs including Round Round, 2 new songs of their new album and About You Now.

The fireworks were fantastic to the christmas songs, but weren't in time to the music. Not as good as Legolands though.

Lost my voice after some of the bands were that good.

Bought tickets for Iron Maidens SBIT tour when they went on pre-sale on the 8th:

Oslo on July 24th (Valle Hovin) and Gothenburg (Ullevi) on July 26th - both conveniently close to Tusenfryd and Liseberg! :D

December 1st: Thrice, Brand New

Wow! I haven't been this jelous in a long time, what an amazing gig!

Sum 41 cancelled their damn tour! Coz Derek did something to his back. Well gutting!

But I got Linkin Park tickets for Sheffield in January, that's going to be fun!

I get a refund for Sum 41, which is cool, but I don't know whether to go to Avenged Devenfold or Coheed and Cambria/Madina Lake/Fightstar instead. I'll decide soon though!

Saw Foo Fighters in Cardiff last night and was well impressed. One of the best gigs I've been to withou a doubt, despite being told to wait in the wrong place for the last bus home and missing it. Nothing like being stranded in Cardiff city centre, being told to sleep on the streets by the police, getting back at 4:30am after calling parents to drive a 3 hour round trip to pick us up... then getting up for school at 7.

Was well worth it though! :D

Omg, there is no way I could do that. How comes you were in the wrong place for the bus?

Anyway its cool that you had a good time, I have been tempted to see the Foo Fighters a few times but never got round to get tickets to see them.

I know it's a long way off, but I'm going to see Reel Big Fish on 29th Febuary 2008 at the Bristol Beer Keller.

It should be great, I'm really looking forward to it.

MCR were amazing at Sheffield on the 13th! Poss the best one I've been to so far and they were 2 guys down! Got to wait 2 years till they tour again boohoo!

Saw Foo Fighters at the O2 last night. Amazing in every way, except the support [Serj Tankian] who was ****.

The O2 is a great venue too, and it was amazing when they brought out Brian May and Roger Taylor!

Shame I missed the last train home and had to drag my parents out though :p

I thought Serj was excellent at Cardiff, must get his album. Obviously getting stranded is a running theme with Foos gigs :p.

And whilst we are on that topic...

ORGASMS! :D

You came down to Cardiff for it? Gaaah, I'm even more annoyed with myself for missing the tickets now!

I try not to rely on public transport after gigs, at that time of night it usually falls apart :?.

Oh well, I'll have to console myself with We Are Scientists tomorrow. They'd better be decent...

^ They're really fun live

but yeah I just bought tickets to see :

Am just eyeing up some gigs for next year.

Omid Djalili is something im looking at to go see.

Girls Aloud announced their tour dates for next year. =]

So I and 3 friends have tickets booked for that at the N.I.A Birmingham. 23rd May.

Block A standing seats. Yay right at the front.

I'm probably going to see New Found Glory on 1st Febuary, shame Paramore will be playing aswell.

Iron Maiden in Twickenham.

Please tell me you'll be getting a standing ticket.

Will's being a gay and sitting down.

Definately. The thought of sitting in one of those damn awful plastic stadium seats for hours scares the **** out of me. Standing tickets in Twickenham are usually cheaper too [although it probably won't in this case].
