Chessington World of Adventures holding public consultation regarding “current proposals and new developments” - potential new attraction?

The California project is space themed, Florida is more debatable right now.

Intamin’s also been transparent enough about their involvement on the show floor that I can mention it here. So yeah, Multidimensional coaster nailed down.
 
It says in the permits the outdoors section would make up roughly a quarter of the track, so I didn't expect that much more, to be honest. The section before the first launch seems to be a dark ride section. If that's well executed, this could still turn out pretty solid.

Concerning Florida: I saw some permits earlier this year showing a clone of the California space coaster. If plans have changed and this is indeed going forward as a Minecraft land, I doubt they will be able to fit Chessington's layout on the Flying School site. So would they keep the old layout under a different theme or develop something custom?
 
I would assume that motion table is going to be a motion simulator with screens which will make
the ride time seem much longer.
 
When it will be the same kind of coaster as Studio Tour at Movie Park Germany, it won't be that long.
The length of the German coaster is only 532m and this one seems to be even shorter.

This Twitter post - I've discovered it over on the Legoland Florida thread - confirms this will indeed go forward as initial plans suggested. So no Minecraft for Legoland Florida.
 
Chessington have submitted plans to replace Scorpion Express, the games areas and children's petting zoo. A new area will be created with a new coaster (Zierer Force One) and 3 children's rides, one of which will be Jungle Bus relocated from Wild Asia:

A key thing to note is the park are going to move the animals to the Wanyama Village and Reserve part of the park, and intend to do so with all their animals eventually. The application also states the park are still well below pre-Covid numbers in terms of guest attendance.
 
A really good move from the park and who's going to moan at a new cred? Yes, it's not aimed at most of us; but it fits their target audience perfectly.

Just to note, I wonder when these plans were originally drawn up or if this has been in the pipeline for a little while and if the time frame has moved around a bit, as the plans with the new land as an overlay still have Rameses Revenge on them and not Croc Drop in.

Not quite a Zierer Force One, looks like a mirror image of Farmyard Flyer. Larger than a Force One and higher capacity.

Edit; Pretty sure that's a Zierer Drifter in there, too, there's been three of them sold so far. Merlin's buying in bulk, I guess Minifigure Speedway has gone down well.

That is a fantastic guess - the only reason I'm thinking not with this one is that the ride type is aimed at families rather than pre-schoolers. Any rides installed there I believe will be specifically for younger children.

I do wonder if instead we may get a like for like replacement for Elmer's Flying Jumbos considering that ride I can imagine may either be at or coming up to the end of it's service life. 🤔

Close enough size for comparison (anyone want to count the gondolas? Not many flats out there with an odd amount of arms)

You raised a fantastic detailed point - I noticed that the Zamperla Aero Top Jet model has a model with 9 gondolas with a footprint of 56.5ft which would also comfortably fit into that site and fit with the target market for that area.

Is this actually confirmed? I can't see the park moving all the animals in the Trail of the Kings area (albeit there's not a lot left there) to a different part of the park. I wonder if the Gorillas will go to another collection.

Not confirmed for all animals.

However, i's certainly my understanding from the recent planning applications.

Here is an excerpt from the Scorpion Express replacement application:

This makes it clear the animals from the Petting Zoo will go to Wanyama. It certainly suggests that all animals will head that way too (after all, the petting zoo doesn't have animals which require enclosures better resembling natural continental enclosures).

On top of that, in the Wild Asia replacement application, the park highlighted they considered replacing the Trail of the Kings with Minecraft World:

So the park have actively considered removal of long-standing parts of the Zoo. And it certainly seems like they're reversing recent years of Zoo and theme park integration, and planning to put the zoo in one area.

From a purely speculative point, I wonder if the park will look at removing the costly and not-so-popular Zufari, and extending the walkable part of the zoo/Wanyama around there. They can't build rides on that area, but can in areas like Trail of the Kings. Moving all the zoo to one area might help the theme park expansion and long term development and sustainability of the resort as a whole.
