And the latest blog post details the current plan of construction. Good news - time schedules are on track: https://www.cedarpoint.com/blog-article ... e?mobile=0

We were working in the direction of travel, but we've come to another complicated section of the layout - the block brake.

The block brake allows for safe operation of 3 trains at once, and also slows the train down if necessary. Even though it's one long piece of straight track (you can see it on the ground, on the webcam), it needs to be maneuvered in between the crazy angled supports.

So, much like the first dive, we're doing the same with the second dive. We'll build up backwards from the bottom of the second dive to give the block brake section more support.

Thank goodness for great weather. We're well on track.

MCBR is now up. Cedar Point has also moved the webcam to provide a glimpse of Raptor with a Valravn backdrop.

I'm expecting the immelmann to go up next week, then the zero-g, then the helix, then the hill, and then they finish the layout in 4-5 weeks.

More of the dive loop is going up. We are about to hit another cold front here in Ohio which hopefully will not hamper construction.

Cedar Point also posted a recent photo, which helps show some of the evolution of Valravn's spot. The installation of Valravn's immelmann, dive loop, and zero-g roll will be on the same original area of the train station, as pictured below. The train station was later moved back to its current location with the addition of rides in 1970. I did a longer writeup on this photo in the Nostalgic Photos Topic.

I never really been a fan of the look of the dive machines but with Krake all that changed. I feel the same thing here as well, it looks gorgeous!

Cedar Point unveiled what the trains will look like today:

Looks like a long wingrider, I hope the vests don't restrict any airtime though.

The restraints of a ride have literally no effect on the negative G force.
Obviously they don't, we aren't stupid, it's quite clear that I mean you may not be able to actually lift out your seat due to these restrictive restraints.

Cedar Point unlocked the vests on Gatekeeper due to customer complaints, so maybe these will be unlocked as well?

Are Banshee's unlocked or does it suffer from Gatekeepers old issue of tightening along the course?

I think it might just be a GateKeeper problem. I haven't ridden it yet(I went on the one day the lift hill decided to break), but of the other 3 US wingriders, I haven't had a problem with the vests tightening. But I'm sure CP will unlock them.

I was on about the train, not the actual coaster.
