What's new

Cedar Point | News and Rumor Topic | New talk Page 42

Yeah, you can't really say it's gonna be a GCI coaster, because that was only one of like, five hints that the park gave us. I do think they're probably just either fooling around with us, or eliminating what it will be, like Joe said.

Why is that Screamscape person talking about the Disaster Transport area? That has like, nothing to do with the construction area..

A GCI has been rumored to be coming in like the one that was supposed to happen at CGA but fell threw.

Just enthusiast fantasy really.

If your elimination theory is anything to go by, I say we can rule the possibility of any coaster out.

^I agree with A-Kid. It makes the most sense.

Unless it'll be a log flume, but do those come with seatbelts today?

Well being that almost all rides at CP have seatbelts, including ones that have harnesses. It could be anything. But, as people are saying, if they are going through and eliminating all the maufacturers that are not going to be it, then who knows. I mean, we still have B&M if the elimination process is correct. Is there not a new concept coaster that B&M was suppost to come out with? Maybe one that doesn't involve harnesses? Maybe that mysterious track at the Ohio plant is actually for CP? Doubt it, but yeah...

Maybe. Don't think its to do with this project.
It's funny, because that blog post leads to this page.

For some reason, that Crystal Rock Bottling Company logo looks pretty off...

Not that it would lead to a secret microsite or anything.

White Lightning...or should I say whYte Lightning...seems to not only apply to Carowinds' 2010 Project any more.

Very interesting Matt.. I saw the page earlier but I didn't think anything of it really.

I wonder when they're gonna spill.

EDIT- Are we 100% sure this is to do with the CP addition though? Because someone posted this on another forum and it seemed to make a bit of sense..

We know pretty well that Carowinds B&M Hyper will be called "White Lightning", and I just thought the "lightning strikes twice" tagline was referencing that this will be the 2nd coaster at Carowinds with have the name.

Our friend Matt is a winner. Seems the only company that bottles is for water, and the logos are off. Even the locations are off, statewise.

What's more interesting is the font matches PERFECTLY with that of the Maverick advertising, the new coaster for Carowinds in not in West Virigina, and that we know both parks are getting some new coaster next year, but no idea what.

Going with the thing that Matt pointed out, the site says for a new drink that's bold, exciting, and refreshing.

Bold: something new
Exciting: something thrilling
Refreshing: perhaps something wet

Being also it's unlike any other, it's something we've never seen or possibly heard of. Whatever they're doing, I think I might know.

This is true, the Lightning strikes twice reference is on the crate in Carowinds, most likely in reference to the old White Lightning coaster that was there in the 80s.

This new whytelightning.com website does link to CP's 2010 addition, as frankly it doesn't make sense to have different parks link to other park's projects. Anyways, that bottle of moonshine on the website has an upside down millennium force logo, so it's safe to say this is a Cedar Point related website.

Cedar Point could be going for a "moonshine runner" theme, between this website and the notion that something is brewin' for 2010 on their facebook. Nascar got it starts in the moonshine business, so could it also be a nascar/racing theme like Carowinds? Who knows.

As with every other construction, only time will tell.
