60m Drop Tower for Pleasurewood Hills

Oh right, I thought you were trying to list the added heights in order.

30ft isn't a huge amount, it seems a lot, but if the sea wall is only 15ft from the sea (no idea, taking your word for it) then they only have to gain 15ft across the distance from the sea wall to the ride. I'm no expert, but that doesn't seem awfully hard...

Possibly, but when you're there, or work there a lot, it just seems a bit excessive for how close the sea can actually get. I suppose it all depends on how they're measured it, it could happen, but yeah, it seems a lot for the height of PB compared to it.

^You'll have to find the location of the ride yourself, as I can't see a way to link the location, but according to EarthTools it's approx 10m above sea level:

I know the differences, but come on it still drops down so I don't think they should make a general claim over the tallest drop tower in the UK or anything.

Blackpool's is... 3.3 miles above the earth's mantle.
LMAO! So On the PBB Scale, it's the tallest ride in the world? :D

I kinda get what Martyn B is saying, but... Fabbri > some ancient Moser

<3

This came as a bit of a surprise, but Pleasurewood are clearly very committed on getting a large tower.

They've applied for permission to amend the previous application, as they've obviously got hold of a new tower, but its slightly smaller, at 55m (180ft).

Click on the "plans" link in the documents section, it shows what the tower will look like. Any idea who manufacturers that kind of tower? Don't *think* I've ever come across a permanent drop tower with the lattice style structure.

^ Might not be a SBF yet... the images on the old application were different to the tower they were supposed to be getting.

Sixty chuffing metres? This will make it, what, the third tallest ride in the United Kingdom? This is going to be an exciting project... looking forward to seeing how it turns out. :)
