Re: Alton Towers | The Smiler | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1
Nothing much happens when you scan the map, you can just see the rides in X-Sector going round, and in my opinion for the scan here things, I reckon when you scan the first one it will then tell you to go somewhere in the resort for...
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown Gerstlauer World's 1st
There aren't any pics yet but TowersTimes claims that vertical contruction has begun and they will be releasing photos tonight...
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown Gestlauer World's 1st
Well we know it's a Gerstlauer, and we know that it will have 4 rows of 4 on the cars, so it's not a Eurofighter (unless it's two stuck together). Could it be a completely different car design?
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
Could the spider thing be some sought of virus cell? which would mean the theme would be a deadly virus outbreak possibly? Just an idea...

Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
I don't think they're waiting, they would've done the footers by now if they were waiting and they havn't. They've probably got abit more groundwork to do and then the footers will go in, then hopefully we'll see some track.

Yeh I know what you mean, 126 pages and we've only got mud and a little bit of metal. Some topics have only 30 pages in the whole construction process.
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
Yeh the metal rods are used to help the footer stay strong, they help it keep its shape and generally stay strong.
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
This is way to compact for B&M, so we can rule that one out, obviously either a Gerstlauer or a Mauher Sohne but we'll have to wait and see...
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
^ Not unless there is a twist in the track like the loop on "RipRideRockit" thus the ride won't fully invert. It would make for a nice little element.
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
Yeh they focus too much on the "Worlds First" element of each ride. They need to focus on the overall layouts rather than one element. Otherwise it's just going to end up as a park of prototypes. But this one looks good.
Tatton Park are set to make a £6.5million investment in BewilderWood which will take up 49 hectares of land. Every theme park starts off small, could this be the start of a new theme park?
Re: Alton Towers | SW7 | Unknown (Gestlauer?) World's 1st
I'm not sure if the track has been re-painted but the trains definately have, but they still need to completely revamp the whole area anyway.
I went on The Swarm 8 times today. It's a great ride and a must for any coaster enthusiasts out there. if you're thinking about going then just go because it's a great ride.
P.S- try to go on a sunday as the ques aren't as long and The Swarm is only good if you go on more than once as it's abit...
Re: Port Aventura |
I don't think Swarm had one but I may be wrong, they definately had the 2D Safety Envelope though.
BTW that lift-hill looks HUGE
