Rare Pieces of Coaster/Theme Park Merchandise?

I don't really collect much memorabilia from parks I go to, mostly because I'm too cheap to buy some overpriced shirt or knick-knack... the memories will serve me just fine. That said, I do have a couple of t-shirts from Hard Rock Park which might be considered uncommon, seeing as they were only...

    Rank the B&M Hyper coasters

1 - Nitro 2 - Apollo's Chariot 3 - Goliath (SFoG) 4 - Intimidator They're all pretty fun really, but I'd say the biggest gap is between Goliath and Intimidator.

    "Now Showing"

Well, there's my good deed for the day! I know, right? This is the first movie since The Sixth Sense that doesn't use his name as a part of the advertising campaign, which leads me to believe that the producers realized that doing so would likely serve as a deterrent for most people. So if...

    "Now Showing"

I was thinking about going to see it just based on the previews and my general enjoyment of Will Smith movies, but then I found out that it was an M. Night Shyamalan picture. Immediate turn-off.

    Chicken

If I'm being honest, I like southern-style fried chicken best. Done right, there's nothing better. But I only rarely treat myself to it, and most often eat it grilled or baked. I've been doing a bit of stir-fry recently as well.

Songs with the theme of 'Summer'

Man, how did people miss the most obvious one? "Cruel Summer" by Bananarama (although I'm partial to the Ace of Base cover myself). Aside from what's already been listed here, there's also "Summer Madness" by Kool & the Gang (maybe the chillest song ever), "Summer Song" by Joe Satriani, and...

    "Now Showing"

^ I've seen Gump so many times I could quote almost any line of dialogue from it, and yet it doesn't seem to get old. The Truman Show is a better film, though. Star Trek Into Darkness Fun movie to see in the theater because of the sensational special effects & big action sequences, but...

    Last of Its Kind

Could've said the same thing about Big Bad Wolf, and they didn't have any problem getting rid of that one. I honestly have no idea what amount of maintenance Loch Ness requires these days, but you can bet it'll be out the door as quickly as BBW was once it becomes a major money drain. In fact...

    "Now Showing"

Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) Wasn't really into it at first & felt like watching more of an action movie tonight, but this one kind of drew me in as it went along, and by the end I was kind of surprised at how much I liked it. For a fairly old movie, it's actually kind of impressive in its scope...

    "Now Showing"

Some more movies I've seen recently for the first time: 28 Weeks Later Not quite as intense as its predecessor but still very entertaining. Wreck-It Ralph Slick animation, great voice cast, nice story. Fun movie. The Deer Hunter Maybe a little longer & more drawn out than it needed to...

    Is The Smiler a Eurofighter?

Looks like it'll ride fairly similarly to one, but I wouldn't call this a Eurofighter. Multiple cars, no vertical drop.. this is a new category of ride from Gerstlauer.

    Family Guy Quotes

I like Family Guy and all, but the quotes really aren't very funny taken out of context, or without the actual clip. Every now & then I'll drop one into a conversation with with friends if the timing & situation are appropriate, but they really don't work as standalone jokes.

Foley, Alabama | OWA | Theme Park

Re: Blue Collar Comedy Park? ^ I take it you say that because you'd like to see a different SEC team win the national championship for a change? Fair enough, I somewhat agree & I think Georgia's due. But I suppose that's a discussion for another thread...

    New Coaster Rumor Carowinds 2014

As much as we tend to slate Carowinds on here, I'd be glad to see this happen. It does serve as the only major amusement park draw for a sizeable geographic area (both Carolinas), so you'd like to see CF put some effort into making it a more worthwhile visit even when there isn't much direct...

    "Now Showing"

The Cabin in the Woods Funny, surprising, entertaining, pretty cool movie overall. It's a pretty spot-on send-up of the horror/monster genre that doesn't seem to take itself very seriously, and yet also doesn't try too hard to be a spoof. So it's not Scary Movie, but it's not quite a scary...

Roller coasters in 360 degrees pictures

It looks like 2 different camera systems were used. For the Rita & Runaway Mine Train photos, it's clear that he's wearing the camera on top of his head. You can actually see it if you look closely at his shadow on the Runaway Mine Train photo. For the Colossus & Swarm ones, the camera was...
