So Tweestryd opened at the end of March. I took some rides on April 1st (no joke ;) ) and this is what I think of it:
I've ridden both sides, front and back seat.
They're very nice, family friendly rides. Not really intense, but then again, it was quite cold (4 degrees celsius) and the ride is...
Yes, it uses the same trains.
I've read on a Dutch forum from people who've ridden it that it's very smooth now. All the bumps and jolts the old Python had are gone. They also said that it maintains its speed a bit better throughout the course.
As I've said earlier, I've visited the construction-site.
My first impression: very nicely themed.
I really like the entrance to the queue, where you walk through a mine shaft.
I also really like the other theme-objects in the area and queue, like the little train in the queue.
Also really...
Tweestryd was testing today as well.
Took some quick shots, but I didn't have much time and it was the end of the afternoon, so I didn't enter the park.
As promised the construction pictures of last week.
The trains were not well visible, the view was quite obstructed.
Entrance to the new area:
Some pictures of the rest of the park:
On March 4th and 11th (from 11:00 till 16:00 local time) Wildlands will hold construction-site tours for pass-holders.
I've signed up for March 4th and I will take pictures if allowed. Pass-holders can sign up via: https://www.wildlands.nl/kijkje .
Last weekend I took some pictures of the...
During the summer holiday's and weekends and other weekends or holidays with nice weather it can get really crowded (easily over 10.000 visitors in a single day), however outside of that it's a lot more quiet.
When I visited nearly 2 weeks ago (chilly and wet "Dutch" winter weather) it was...
I went back today and took a few pictures.
As you can see they're building some buildings/tunnels through which the coaster will go.
The spikes are also at full height now.
I think the GCI will at least provide a healthier ride experience than the Dive Coaster currently would. :p
I like the look of both rides; the bright colors of the B&M and the beautiful structure of the GCI. :)
All I know is that a train has stalled before the loop. I don't know if it's still shut or if it has reopened.
Here's a (very short) video of the stalled train:
Yay! 2 new coasters just 12km from my house! :D
I visited the park last October and its a really nice park with a lot of room for the animals, great theming and a very nice 4d theater (Arctic 1).
I will possibly buy a season pass soon, so I can provide some updates from time to time.:)
