Re: Six Flags Magic Mountain | "Full Throttle" | multi launc
No the reason we won't see two trains on the YOLOOP at the same time is because of the blocking issue, a train can't be launched from the first launch until the other train has cleared the top of the topside of the YOLOOP in case it...
That drop is the reason I think this will be making best new coaster of 2013. As for the rest of the ride outward 90* banked turns are epic and this will probably be the definition of a back row coaster, from that drop to the drop off the quarry wall into the tunnel. Also the trains look so open...
Re: Silver Dollar City |"Outlaw Run"| Wooden Hybrid Coaster
Wow it only cost $10 million, that has got to be a pretty great price for such a high profile ride especially for the prototype factor, of course I imagine that SDC got the trains for a reduced price since they're prototypes also.
^ It's because guests can control the speed and eventually there would be someone that got really scared and braked too hard to make it up the incline and they would have a serious issue, at least here in the lawsuit prone society that is the US.
Let me introduce you to Liseberg, where they have an Intamin gyro-drop, an S & S shot tower and also an S & S turbo drop so some one should probably call the redundancy police on them.
I've just had issues folding my legs to fit into some Intamin's (MF style trains are the worst), PTC (the little crook in the restraint is evil and tries to murder my thigh) and a few others (namely anything other than the front row on Morgan and Arrow trains), but other than that I haven't had...
1. Tatsu (just so epic and a great example of a coaster with a definite plot line)
2. X2 (WTF: The Ride)
3. Goliath (sweet, sustained airtime, lateral hangtime and a helix so forceful I can barely keep my hands in the air)
4. Batman (I love everything about this layout, it has to be one of the...
Skyrush basically just blows every other mega I've ridden out of the water but I also found Apollo's Chariot to be really awesome and amazingly reridable.
Whoops, I forgot about Raptor.
Raptor was pretty good but I found it a little rough through the second half but really enjoyed the first drop, overall I'd say it's just about even with Silver Bullet.
^ Yeah, B:TR clones are amazing at night, I rode SFMM's a few times at Fright Fest last year with the normal lights off but with fog, strobes and awesome blue lighting and it was amazing.
I've ridden:
Batman (SFMM)
Great Bear
Afterburn
Alpengeist
Silver Bullet
Batman is just simply one of the best examples that a short, small, clone can be amazing. I swear the layout is perfectly balanced between high force and fast rotation. The intensity is sustained through the course and it...
We're talking about the park that has the entrance to one of it's coasters hidden through the gift shop for Dinosaurs Alive so I wouldn't put having you hike through a waterpark to get to a coaster past them.
^ You mean Ouch-my-balls:The Ride. I never could understand why any guy would willingly go on that thing, if it had a brake zone the size of Meh Tower then maybe but it basically looks like you are going to be suspending 4 times your weight by your crotch.
It isn't Taco Works (best chips in the universe) but it's still the only place I eat Mexican food outside of the Southwest (and Mexico) besides Taco Time and Del Taco.
While it isn't really a drop tower Liberty Launch at Holiday World is amazing because of the great airtime you get at the top. Mach Tower sucked so badly that the drop on Verbolten was better than it was. S & S Turbo Drops are okay but Intamin ones are amazing. I still haven't gotten out to SFMM...
Don't follow your instincts to run to Skyrush right when it opens but wait for that until around 2pm. Get to the park a bit before opening or right at opening depending on whether you have prepurchased tickets or not. As soon as you are inside the park head straight for Fahrenheit which gets a...
