X Factor UK 2012

Can never watch X Factor live, have to Sky+ it and skip the hours of adverts

Same here. With the auditions, I'll just watch them in the week later. With the live shows though, presuming I'm in, I'll record the first half hour or so, then start watching it. That way I pretty much finish it "on time" and don't have to worry about Facebook/Twatter **** ing things up.

After careful reconsideration, my absolute VENDETTA for this year is Lucy. **** me, everything about her is dreadful.

^ I totally agree Gavin. she didn't actually sing most her 'song' to me she was just talking rhytmically over a guitar (but not in a rap way). The fleeting bits of singing were below par tbh. I don't think she will be the one going tonight sadly...

^She would be better off doing her Victoria Wood impression on Britain's Got Talent than on the X Factor.

I LOVE RYLAN.

Carolynn defo didn't deserve to go tonight over the vile boy bands, vile Christopher and other creatures, but, I'm so glad Rylan is still there. Loovvvveeee him!

And this is when I love XFactor. Rylan blatantly should have gone tonight. Easily.

It causes such a stir and drama when stuff likes this happens, which in turn slaps it in the papers and then more people watch. It is hilarious.

I said the moment that it came down to Louis to make a decision that he was going to take it to Deadlock and then miraculously, Rylan would be saved by the public. So funny.

It happens every year... Wagner, Jedward et al. Yet every year people are all so shocked... LOL

Haha!

That was obviously ridiculous, but I'm kind of pleased.

Ideally one of the hideous boybands or Lucy would have gone, but that obviously won't happen for a while </3.

In that situation I'm glad Rylan didn't get spited. Of course, Carolynne is a better singer, but if it WAS actually just a singing competition there are plenty of other finalists who should have been in the bottom 2, not just Rylan.

Carolynne was just SO drab. Yeah, I'd hear her singing on a cruise ship and think she was OK, but she's far from star material. It's too late for her now. Melanie pulls if off because she doesn't TRY and be young and fabulous, but takes a more graceful approach. Oh, and she can actually sing. Carolynne was just a desperate old tart really.

My ultimate vendettas are Lucy, District 3 and Union J. I hate MK1 and Christopher too, but don't think they're going to be in it for very long anyway so don't really care.

Totes into it this year, probably because since leaving Uni I have the social life of someone with locked-in syndrome.

Catching up now.

Lucy has sunk to a new low in my opinion. Didn't seem to care about nanny too much when the live cameras came on. Plus, now she's doing covers she literally just sits there speaking the song with irrelevant guitar chords. At least when she did her own song there was SOMETHING 'special' about her. Vile.

Didn't think Ella was as good this week, but that might be because I don't know the song. It just seemed a bit choppy and overdone...

^ Nah, she sang it brilliantly. Listen to the original and you'll see what I mean.

Still watching now. Spraggan needs to go and join her "nanny". **** ing diabolical.

Jahmene was still the ultimate worst creature of them all last night. Still can't sing or do anything ever.

Ella was amazing, but, that high F# in that song is horrid, has always been horrid, and was horrid last night. She hit it, she hit it amazingly, but it's just not a nice note. Why it was ever written into that song I'll never know.

Rylan was AMAZING. I love him so much. Doing Back For Good at the start was just the funniest thing ever. Him and Gary throwing shade at each other is the highlight of my life.

Kei or whatever his name is is a bit crap, but it turns out my sister's boyfriend is good friends with him, so he could be my way in to Gary (literally).

Lucy was amazing. Love her so much. Love how much of an uber-dyke she was being with all the dancers as well <3

Jade is dull.

Melanie was OK, but, other than her big notes, she's not that great.

Chris was revolting.

The boy bands were dull.

MK1 are so ghetto fablous <3

James had a bad song choice but I can't hate him.

I love it this year so much. Gary is just being such a DOG and I love it <3

I haven't been following it, but have seen bits of a couple of episodes.

So far, Rymans or whatever the **** his name is is VILE, but it'd be dull without him.

Oh, and the big fat dyke is fab <3

Bottom 2 tonight should be Kye and District 3 I think.

Realistically, I think it's going to be Kye and maybe Christopher. Not fussed either way because they're all vile!

Oh, and if Rylan gets through you can bet they'll say his name first for the 'OUTRAGE' factor...

It's horrendous, yeah. It's a **** ing awful song with or without the note to be fair. The whole point of it is so that people go "Wow, she hit the note", and that's about the extent of it. Ella doesn't need the gimmick though, in my opinion

I want Lucy to be in the bottom two because she's just awful on every level. Everyone's going on about how Rylan can't sing, yet she's good? Bitch can't/doesn't sing! I want to see the orange scouser gone as well - too Butlins/cruise ship.

Realistically, they're both safe though. I think it might be Kye and Jade tonight. Just completely BLAH and I can't see people giving enough of a **** to vote for them.

Or possibly the dyke in the cap with the "rapper". They were crap (more than usual) last night. If you're going to rap, rap. Don't talk through parts of a song that are supposed to be sung.

Well, mixed feelings about tonight.

Glad Rylan got through <3.

REALLY suprised (and delighted!) to see District 3 in the bottom 2.

I don't know how the hell Chris and Kye got through though.

They really should have spited District 3. Tulisa is the worst creature of them all! Melanie was one of the only decent singers, let's face it, and keeping District 3 in is just pointless because there's another boyband who are generally better in every way (but still awful, obv).

^Yep, it was stupid to keep the (slightly) crapper boyband in when they're essentially aimed at the same soggy-knickered 12 year olds that the cheap, knock-off One Direction are aimed at, and who have clearly already cornered the market on raping said 12 year olds of their tenner a week phone credit.

District Trois are so wet! When they sang in the sign-off, I had to had to mute the telly. Not only did they sing an awful song, I'm sick of hearing boy-band sickly voices. They also tuck hier jeans in their boots, which looks ridiculous. At least One Direction don't sound soppy. I also got bored of Melanie's "big note" thing she does. Yes, love, you can hold a note, but do you really need to pull that pained expression and drop towards the floor everytime you do it?

Pet hates include Rylan, I can't stand over the top campness, depsite it being the X Factor, and he can't sing. Why does everybody get a hardon over James Arthur? The way he stutters/forces out the tune sounds terrible imo. Used to like the Guitar Dyke because she sounds like the Arctic Monkeys but it's getting boring now. I'd like to get pissed in a Spoons with her though.

The best two this week were Union J (yeah, I hate myself for saying it) and Ella. I end up rewinding Ella's performance and watching it again every week now; all two of them!

The rest are forgettable.

It was a rather interesting week on the show I guess. I must say I loved them showing the footage of Gary having a hissy diva fit at the cameras. Bless him, he is such a queen... Go get him Ben :p

Performance wise:
Jahmene: He does a brilliant tone to his voice but he has already prooved that he can do vocal acrobatics. Must he do the 'screech' every week? My biggest issue with him is that he just stands their looking rather limp. There was very little in terms of performance that it bored me.

Union J: They were far better than last week. Amazing what a song choice can do. I actually really enjoyed their version of Bleeding Love. It certainly had a lot more energy than when Leona sans personality Lewis sings it. Not surprised by the fact they have found their own now.

Ella: Gorgeous voice. She should sail through the majority of the competition but I thought the song choice was so incredibly dull. It just didn't click my mouse for me.

James: Kinda love and kinda hate. I adore the Mary J Blige version of the song so was a bit worried about what he would do with it. He does have an innate ability to convey the emmotion across, its just a shame that the said emmotion always seems to be misery and pain. Vocally it was ok, but again with the yelling/screeching... Is this what is expected in the music industry nowadays?

Lucy: Who needs auto-tune when you have Lucy - i'll just say the lyrics instead - Spraggen. Ok so it was a rap song, but it was just full of eurgh. Shame, she seems like the sort of person who would be up for laugh on a messy CF night out. But yeah, as a performance... leave. now.

Jade: Was utterly forgettable. Totally boring.

Kye: Effing AWFUL! It was flat and dull. His falsetto was like nails on a chalkboard. I was surprised though because he is normally relatively good.

Rylan: Oh Rylan, Rylan, Rylan... There is so much totally wrong with you but so much win too. I wouldn't go so far as to say he can't sing full stop. He can hold a few notes, but because of his lack of skill he is limited in what he can sing. He is never going to win but he will linger around till week 6 or so and then become like Jedward. An act that we just can't seem to get rid of. He certainly can perform though. He looked like he was thoroughly enjoying himself. Glad someone on the show is coz the rest of em look like they are doing chores.

Melanie: Yes yes, screech that top note and bend over like you've been kicked in the snatch we get it already. The girl can sing but the song choice was boring imo. Especially when they had just song the over on Strictly only an hour before and the fact its in the John Lewis advert and constantly being played on the Radio. Soooo sick of it and it made loathe Melanie this week.

Christopher: Cruise ship dahling, cruise ship. Yeah he can sing but XFactor is not the show for him

MK1: I actually quite liked their take on the song except for the rap bits. Tbh, I think a decently produced studio version would be a large hit.

District 3: Really? Louis you old grandad. Did you really just wheel out the Boyz II Men... Totally and utterly pants. Yes, they can harmonise beautifully, but that song. No. Just no.

I would have said that the likely bottom 2 from that lot were going to be District 3 and Christopher tbh. They were my least favourite performances so I was a little surprsed to see Melanie in the sing-off. Both survival songs were utterly hideous though. They could have just wheeled out a Canon and fire Wagner at the both of them for all I cared.
