Who's Going to Be Next to Get a Wingrider?

I really did think that Alton would get a Wing rider, after THE SWARM. Oh well, Wing Riders will be soon taking over the World, Raptor, X-Flight, Swarm, and Wild Eagal. The coaster industry will soon be dominated by them!

^ Just like Giga's were supposed to reign supreme? How about them Dive Machines, Floorless and 4D? Intamins and the non-existent Maure Söhne version?

This is more or less a trend that will fade in time til some chinese company makes an extremely cheap knock off that is launched or something.

As to AT getting one....HA! One word kid, restrictions.

^^I really doubt AT would get a wingrider (I'd love to be wrong though) simpily because GL and TP have them, which is just plain boring and it wouldn't be a UK/worlds first!

And it is difficult to build a decent wingrider under 70ft...

^^But I guess you're right, they are taking over the industry (B&M more though)

I think we all do...but unfortuently, it's not going to happen, especially because of height restrictions and space in the park. Heide park are more likely to get one.

My bet is on another SF park or a Cedar fair park, but not Cedar Point.

Hmm. I would have to go with IoA, they have not had a new major coaster there for ages, and the wingrider is a fairly groundbreaking concept that universal may want in IoA. I know that the studios recently got that Maure Sohne but I still think that IoA needs a new major coaster. Unless i missed the opening of one for some unknown reason or forgot. Do correct me if i have.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is supposedly being expanded (I believe), so a Wing Coaster or a Wing Rider could be very well themed ride for that area.

On a side note of complete randomness, did you know that the snake Harry set free in the Philosophers Stone is actually Nanigi (or whatever name Voldemorts snake is called).

I had no idea i have never seen any of the harry potters, but i think the theming possibilities with harry potter are endless, could even be themed as a quiddich match through a forest of sorts?

^^Nope. That snake thingy was just a joke posted at Tumblr and it kinda took the Internet by storm and will float around the web for years to come.

I think Rowling did her research on this: the snake in the zoo was a male boa constrictor (without fangs), which escaped from a London zoo in 1991, heading for Brazil. Nagini was a female venomous snake found in an Albanian forest in 1994. Even if the zoo snake somehow managed to get to continental Europe and then was transformed by (crippled and not even corporal) you-know-who after it somehow managed to get to war-torn Yugoslavia, it still would have died pretty quickly in the harsh temperatures of the European winters. Low temperatures are like opium to snakes.

^ Meh...seemed legit to me....aka, cba to actually research it thoroughly as Im lazy and at work.
