Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

There's nothing even remotely confirming any of the three manufacturers yet. What makes you think it'll be Zierer over the other two?

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

We have an update, although there's not much new to see really:

This is a guessing game as of now.

Zierer gets my vote also.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

Judging from the pieces available I believe it's Premier. Revenge of the Mummy has an identical style of track:

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

Except, of course, those aren't identical.

I'm going to hedge every bet and say Soquet.

(Are they even still in business? )

Yeah look properly mate, they aren't identical at all.

Only thing that's been proven in this thread is that some people are in need of a trip to their local Optometrist.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

If it's themed after Gringotts, my bet would be on Gerstlauer. A Eurofighter would be similar to the carts used in the movies. I can't tell much from the track, though. I need more angles!

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

Its not Gerstlauer. This is going to be the highest capacity theme park attraction in the world, and Gerstlauer isn't even in the same light year as the kinds of technology that are being incorporated into this project. What you should be expecting is a few manufacturers coming together to create different components of the ride - and that includes the tracking system.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

12-person ride vehicles for Gringott's? That's a fairly uncommon number for coasters. This thing's going to need a LOT of block sections to get adequate throughput for USF.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

I don't know... Rockit is 12 as well, Mummy is 16. I don't really think Uni cares :p

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

Suffice it to say, Universal could easily replicate a Mummy-style roller coaster with a Gringott's theme. Small 12 per cars, LIM launch, tight turns on a dark roller coaster would definitely work.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

It could be mine train coaster with train capacity like the Rock-It. My bro and I were speculating that, as it would be themed after the Gringotts Mine Train scene.......

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

The photos are a bit blurry so it's a bit hard to tell, but I did notice that it looks a tad bit like the track on Battlestar Galactica at Universal Singapore. Maybe it's a launched Vekoma? My guesses from most likely to least likely for the top three possibilities are Vekoma (looks a bit like Battlestar's track, I know they do a lot of indoor stuff like Rock n' Roller Coaster), Premier (I thought I saw some ties connecting the rails to each other in addition to the ones connecting the rails to the spine that Premier uses on their newer rides like Full Throttle. The shaping also resembles their stuff as well imo), and Maurer (ties look to be shaped similar to the ones used on X-Coasters, possibly a new model). I noticed that it looks a bit like Chance-Morgan's track as well but I don't see Chance-Morgan doing anything like this.
