**** moron.

You can see it's a coaster...

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

What? That's all you've got? Photos of coaster track and the concept plans showing a coaster and describing a coaster - as if that's any kind of evidence!

So be prepared to be disappointed ;)

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

Oooo, I hadn't seen that leaked photo before. The building looks huge. Totally makes the rumoured layout and some of the rooms even more exciting.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

I hope it's a coaster.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

^ Well, thank you Monsieur Poirot.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

Has the manufacturer been confirmed yet? Is it Premier? Looks like it in the photo..

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

From the beginning, rumours have been rife between a collaboration of more than one company being involved. There's high chances based off of the cars/train and track, it's Premier constructing the main track along with the 'trick track' sections and stuff being produced and engineered by another company.

It makes sense for the park to go with a company they know full well can produce a fantastic dark coaster RotM that's got a large capacity and little downtime compared to similar rides of different manufacturers. When it comes to the 'special track sections' that are rumoured, such as the 'drop' and 'tilt section', using a company such as either Vekoma or Intamin would make sense as they've both created coasters with quick transitions and special track segments, but, being rife with downtime. It's a tricky situation.

Basically, this whole post could have been summed up in 3 words: "We don't know" ;)

How many more times do people need to say it. It's a coaster.

It will be called Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts according to RCDB.

Will. To. Live. Gone..................

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

So do we think it'll not be a coaster then? ;)

Also is it on RCDB, I'm not too sure.

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

I once had a dream that everyone who had posted in the "banning topic" in the last two months was banned in real life.

Dream, or foretelling? ;)

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

I just saw a commercial for this on TV all the way up here in Ohio! Getting the iPad charged so I can film it now, but it said, "Prepare to go where no muggle has gone before," with shots of the bank atrium, goblins, the dragon, and the camera on track as it swerved through a rocky tunnel. Not only did I FLIP when I saw it but I thought of something.

Could this be just another RoTM (as in, same concept, not same layout) but with the spaghetti bowl full of track enclosed in fake rockwork tunnels with openings cut for show scenes that you whiz by and then it stops you for the more high-tech ones? It's what it seemed to be advertising.

Yes that's basically it.
I think it was supposed to be just a teaser as opposed to something meant to inform the GP of what's to come. As in, "here's something with Harry Potter on it at Universal, go Google it" instead of "Look what we're building!"

Here's the teaser if you haven't seen it:

(Lesson learned making this: Just because the adapter is plugged into the wall and the charger is plugged into the iPad doesn't mean the charger is plugged into the adapter on the other end; check before leaving i to charge. :p )

Re: Universal Studios Florida | Unknown | Unknown

Finally a bit more info, well not really. Images of the goblins really...that's it.

It looks a lot like the real ride car ;)

3D glasses? Really?

The rest, if accurate, sounds great, but 3D glasses? There's already 3D technology that doesn't use glasses, so why use them on a fast moving roller coaster?

You can see its listed as a 3D ride on the official universal site.
