Looks interesting iJustin. However, I can't really see much from any of it.

My newest NL project, so far codenamed "Mount Maniac":

Anyone seeing what it resembles?

I am still struggling with the G's in some places, and I plan to add trees and stuff, so it's far from complete. And it has got too much speed into the brakes. But the idea is still vivid in me. It is a standup coaster, if you see the gimmick in it, you'll propably understand why.

^Correct. It is 'themed' around a guy's first tries in a ski hill, starting calm and shaky, but ends of with a drop zigzagging down the mountainside, a hard turn (G problem), and brakes, before he goes up again to try some tricks. I think the halfpipe turned out well, but I have to slow down the coaster more before it. Also, the lift is unbearably slow, but I go for (some) realism, and that sort of ski lifts are slow.

Nearly done with Flux's supports. Just the double down, airtime hill and final turn left.

the picture is old and that half bent cuban 8 is all supported.

Wow Jer. That is looking great. It looks like there isn't a single "kink" in the track. It just looks so smooth!

I can't wait to ride this!

Looks Like A Good Start Xpress :)

My Stealth Recreation is back and has made and now has a Promo Video to go with it! Its still under construction. I am aware of the tubing issues and the little "bump" exiting the bottom of the top hat and they have now been rectified. So have the coulours of the supports etc...

Please watch and please comment!

Thanks,

Looks good Deano, I don't know whether you'd altered it yet but that Tophat still looks a little too wide.

Other than that it looks good and quite accurate to the real thing!

Well done.

Looks pretty good. The track work seems OK, but I haven't ridden Stealth so I can't really judge it.

A couple things I would like to point out though.

1. I think the curves up to vertical may be slightly mis-shapen. They seemed to suddenly whip up to vertical after a steady increase. I hope that's clear as it's hard to describe.
2. The brake run needs no walkways. The magnetic brakes cannot stop the train so there is no need for the walkways. See picture.

3. I wouldn't use the magnets to launch it. Use a chain/lift. It looks more realistic. Unless you are planning to make 3Ds for it.
4. I suggest making 3Ds brake fins as the ones on the side look a bit silly.

Apart from these minor things I think this is comming along well. Nice 3Ds work.
Keep it up.

The Tophat looks fine in the editor view, how strange :/

Anyway yeah as Hixee said, the turns on the tophat are very quick and not as gradual as you have them, but thats easily changed.

Thanks Hixee! and Thanks UncleArly!

point 1.) Very True, i will sort that out as its majoy Issue ;)

Point 2.) That is now sorted as UncleArly pointed that out to me on MSN. Its now fixed!

Point 3 & 4.) Does the chain lift go to that higher speed? If so i will change it, I will make 3D'S for the "Fins", over the chain so it should look ok.

Thanks Again!

^ I would use a transport section and check the "hide transport device" option, then cut it up in tiny pieces and in the end add a 3ds for the whole launch/brake bit.

Since the transport turns off when you e-stop, I suggest you use a brake segment (if you have NL1.7). Just hide the brakes and transport, and set your acceleration and speeds, and you're good to go. Won't turn off when you hit estop. Also, uncheck the "Blocksegment" box, or it will turn off, and stop the train.

The track doesn't seem heartlined either, and the brakes are WAYYYYY off from straight. If you need help with the track, I can help. Also, the tophat is mis-shapen compared to the real one.

Also, don't use the crappy prefab supports. Use custom supports, in the medium size. You can see how small they are compared with the crappy prefabs: http://www.rcdb.com/ig3081.htm?picture=5
