I'm truly struggling to to understand why there's two types of experience on offer - surely the one that's outward facing (like the one in Kuala Lumpur) is such a boring experience?

They'll both be bad. With the outward seats, it'll be more open, but less exciting. With the birds, you swing and feel like it'll fall off, but it's restrictive, and you can't see **** .

Having ridden both styles, I can say with extreme confidence that both options will be f**king s**t.

Thanks for reading.

While I agree that both experiences is probably gonna be pretty tame, it certainly isn't a puzzle why they went with this new "2-in-1" version. - It's an important selling point for them and honestly, for a park like Tivoli Gardens - taking into account all of the parameters (including the fact that this isn't made for us, the enthusiasts)- this is probably about the best they could have done for a new ride.

Caught them mounting some seats.

The "foundation" which will also house mini bumper cars.
Also note the nicely detailed theming.

This is looking pretty great at the moment, just wondering how many more tower based flats they want?

Tivoli Gardens opened up for the summer season today, so thought I'd drop by to check up on the progress of Fatamorgana, which will be ready the 28th of april.

Now, you can say what you want about this ride, but it certainly got the looks!

Beneath the Huss Condor 2G, there is the junior bumper cars, "Mini Morgana" which opened with the rest of the park today.

I was lucky enough to catch a bit of testing, although only halfway up the tower.

Although the entrance sign makes my vision blurry, I'm shocked how majestic it looks. I haven't been following this since the ride looks meh, but at least they've made it look amazing. Obsessing over the mesh-like fencing.

Looks absolutely beautiful - shame it'll be incredibly dull.

The park is full of polished turds TBH. The only notable exceptions are Vertigo and Rutschebanen, although Aquila Air Race and Himmelskibet Star Flyer are pretty good too if you like those ride types. Still one of my favorite parks simply because it's so gorgeous.

So Fatamorgna opened up officially today and a couple of hours before that, there was a media thingy, which I attended.

First of all, it looks great. They have done a great job with the theming and I'm looking forward to catching it at night sometime.
Now the ride experience itself is more or less exactly what I've expected. As you probably know there are two seating options and to be honest, there isn't much difference. - They're both fun, if a little boring and definitely not "thrilling" like one of them is marketed as. I actually prefer the traditional Condor seating option as it gives a more varied ride experience because of the swinging...

Anyways, have a picture and some video.
