Thorpe Park |"The Swarm"| B&M Wing Coaster

Touché sir!

I actually quite like the idea of the on ride video, if it's good enough quality I probably will buy one of my first ride, mainly because I love a first ride on anything the emotions are so real

People who want a printed one would still buy a printed one. It's nice to have it in the frame, etc. I know that the only ones I have I have because I want them in their frame, displayed somewhere. I for one, wouldn't bother with a digital image. To me, that I'd look at once, stick in a file somewhere, and then probably erase over so I've got more room for [strike]porn[/strike].
This makes me want a theme-park only social network that uploads and hosts all of your ORPs/ORVs in an easily manageable way.

Could support the thing with park participation, and present it in a collect-them-all sort of way on a map or something. That would give people enough incentive to do them all, so the price of a single ORP could be lower without losing money. Plus, digital distribution = effectively free once you get it in place.

Sensible post in construction topic shocker!

But in all seriousness, someone with a decent tele lens needs to get over to monks walk sharpish!

If I still lived close I would take my camera (does video) and my 300mm!

*memories of when I tripoded up to shoot video of stealth testing*

jumping back a few days... I cant believe how quickly it went between the trains arriving on site and testing beginning, does it normally happen that fast?

I checked the topic on wednesday and everyone was discussing why the wheels were yellow and comparing the trains to raptors, i check today and they have already sent the trains out!

Im really getting excited about going there on park opening day now!

From my opinion, I think thorpe lyed in saying the trains have arrived a few days back. But it doesn't really matter now, as long as we have trains then that's good. But I wonder if that fireball effect rumour will come true, or be shown false. Most likely false.

What? You mean that the EVIDENCE of photos of the trains weren't proof enough? How stupid...

They were in storage yes after, from my opinion, some test runs. If they had just arrived they would have looked the way wild eagles trains look like now, and the state raptor's trains were seen when they were being unloaded.

Yeah, maybe they had them a day or two earlier then they said, NAUGHTY THORPE PARK. How DARE you lie to us about a matter of hours (in comparison with the construction).

Just gotta ask, why do you care? The trains are here, look great, testing has started. I know I certainly don't care for a matter of hours between them doing certain jobs and being punctual with their updates...

I stated on my first post, on this little conversation, that it doesn't really matter now. Anyway, glad to see testing has been going well. Video would be most preffered in the coming days for me.

EDIT:I found out thorpe have updated their website, with a timer and a recolour sceme. Looks great. A link for the lazy lot.

It is really slow. Really slow. I mean, I knew it would be slow, but that's insane.

However, it's freezing at the moment, literally. It was yesterday too, and this video is from the day before? I canot recall what the weather was doing on Sunday. But it's too cold to even be running a coaster now. (It's 10am and -3c in Surrey)

The weather does make a huge difference. Anyone who went to one of the Thorpe February opening days will know how crap everything runs when it's so cold.

Nice B&M roar, but if seems a lot shorter in that video. From the lift, to the brakes, its like 30 seconds, and tha includes nearly stalling twice :p

I'd put it down to the severe weather and temperature we're suffering at the moment, with added weight from passengers and after it's warmed up a few times, it'll be fine!
