That site attacks my phone screens with snowflakes.....

Cool though.

Switching between the hideouts'...

^ I think the fire, water and plane in the bottom are extra features. I could be wrong through.
Wouldnt it be awesome if fire shot out of the plane towards you as you dived under the wing?

I thought this was release a while ago?

No, he was telling us what he had just done... fapfapfapfap.... ;)

I actually suspect that there will be fire effects too looking at the image and the way it's all turning out. Anyone want a sweepstake on how many weeks that'll last for though ;)

^ fire effects don't last long at Canada's Wonderland either. If it breaks they usually just give up on it, that or they just stop paying for the gas.

^ Cheapskates :P

Seriously, I suspect that after a while, any ride effects are considered gimmicky or not something which enhances the ride to a great degree. Oblivion's mist is a good example.

That's not the biggest issue here..... What I take issue with is the fact you've already ridden The Swarm. Well jel! :(

Really? My issue is the "Chwissmassy" comment. That's the worst.

Granted, it's cringeworthy. But I'm not really "well jel" of Father Christmas (Santa Claus for you morons from across the pond) :P .

Also, someone's put an end to quote tunnels.... I'm gonna be over here in the corner having sad. :(

Re: The Swarm - B&M 'Wing-Rider', Thorpe Park 2012

Just to tell everyone, the fire and water effects where there in September.

Re: The Swarm - B&M 'Wing-Rider', Thorpe Park 2012

I thought it was just the water effects. I don't think there will be any fire effects, there wouldn't be much space for a safe fireball to be released. Well, from where the plane is, as that is what the concept art depicts.

No it was fire, I remember thinking "Great, so we will catch fire and then be put out in the lake..."

Opening day.

I don't think they will bother at all, to be honest. I like to think they've learnt their lesson with unmaintainable effects.

Favorite doesn't mean i have ridden it, does it, think of it as Favorite development. Thanks for the welcome :/

Re: The Swarm - B&M 'Wing-Rider', Thorpe Park 2012

^But the category is favourite coaster, not favourite coaster in development?

It'll be fine. Fire can be released pretty close to people. An old scene at the London Dungeons used to shoot a fireball quite close to the audience and rides and attractions like Templo del Fuego have fire going off within the same sort of distance. I don't think it would be a problem at all.
The water splash was confirmed ages ago as on the plan there's a 'controlled water area' round the helicopter where there'll be a watersplash.

Re: The Swarm - B&M 'Wing-Rider', Thorpe Park 2012

You think Thorpe would maintain a fireball to go off every minute or so...?
