The Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay

^ He left out one picture from Screamscape, the coaster budget is still the same.

Yup still 6 million allocated for the new 2014 coaster. No clue what the hell it's going to be though.

Yeah, (balance) in the image suggests that it's what they have left to pay on the coaster, not the total coaster cost. Though, it could be they're paying off an old coaster still...

It just might be the American version of Smiler.

The Smiler cost $27,000,000. They have a budget of $6,000,000. I'll let you do the maths.

Even though a good size chunk of The Smiler's budget was spent on ground work you're still not going to get one of these large Multi-lopping Gerts for less than $20,000,000.

A sizable chunk of the cost in building a coaster like the Smiler in the states would be in shipping the thing across the ocean. I still have my money on an S&S El Loco, but wouldn't rule out a coaster like Kennywood's Sky Rocket since Premier gets their track manufactured by the same company, if I recall correctly.

For fair note here's the footprint around Greezed Lightnin' where the new coaster has been confirmed to go:

I'm thinking El Loco for that kind of footprint. Seems to fit in remarkably well, both within the required space and the budget given.

Ed has promised a new coaster that will deliver an "equal, if not better" experience that Chang did, but in a smaller footprint. I'm not sure an El Loco fits that.

This.

Ed Hart seems to be the type of guy that won't fill you with b0llocks, he's stated in his interview that it's the extremely good coasters that keep the customers coming back, I'm sure he's not going to see an El Loco as an extremely good coaster, it's a support coaster, nothing more.

I don't have a clue what's actually going to end up at KK, but I honestly believe he's going to surprise us all with a enthusiasts coaster.

A GCI woodie would be round about perfect for that footprint if they weren't already throwing a metric **** ton of money into Twisted Twins and Thunder Run.

Via screamscape:

Park News - (10/21/13) Screamscape was contacted by John Mulcahy, the new Director of Marketing and Communication for Kentucky Kingdom over the weekend. John was nice enough to let us know that the budget information is “both dated and inaccurate” and was part of a much older presentation to the state. John promises that within the “next few weeks” they will be holding the official press release to release the details and show off the new concept artwork for the NEW Kentucky Kingdom and Hurricane Bay.

Hopefully that will mean that they'll announce their new coaster at that time as well. Wonder when it will actually go down. I hate it when people are unspecific...

It's all official! It will be Morgans first take on a 100 feet hyper coaster.
It doesn't seem like a very exciting ride if you ask me, but hopefully it will turn out to be a kick ass ride!

Alsoa 130 feet drop tower will be added, as well as a 5d cinema and a swinging flat ride.

I much more like the sound of the water park expansion. Can't wait to see it grow under the winter.
The announcement so far doesn't really show the new slides, but it does say that it will have the tallest speed slide in North America, as well as a multi bump, so I'm guessing that tower will be the same as Port Aventura's.

Season passes will only be 60 dollars, which to me seems unusually cheap.

Well done Ed Hart! This guy really knows what he's doing. I was watching the video of the Morgan Hyper GT-X
thinking that it looks like a fab little coaster, not only will it deliver a fair amount of airtime, it looks quite forceful during the middle of the ride.

Does anyone know how much dollar we're talking about for this ride?

ECG said $7 million on the construction thread; that seems a very reasonable price considering how good it looks. Maybe they got some kind of discount since it's the first one; Morgan haven't built a big coaster in almost ten years so I imagine they're pretty desperate to show the world what they can (still) do.

I'm actually pretty excited to see how this Morgan coaster turns out. Doesn't look like it has the same sort of "whip-about" factor of a Mega-Lite, but Morgan seem to know how to create a smooth, airtime filled ride, so I have good expectations of this.

I'm also pretty interested in what they'll end up doing to T2. Wondering if they'll go all out, getting new train chassis and bodies, as well as carrying out track work, or just new train bodies.

Looking at Arkham Asylum, I'm surprised they didn't change the train chassis as well. Sure, budget comes into it, but surely by upgrading the chassis, as well as the bodies, it would improve the ride experience significantly? To me, the new trains seem to just reduce the amount of harness that your head smashes into, as opposed to actually creating a smoother ride. I guess I'm just hoping that T2 will be done properly.
