I never played either Bioshock, so that's good. .

Please don't start with the second one for the love of God.

You'd really like the first I think cause it's amazing, 2 was awful.

I lied actually, I played the first hour of the first one and it made me feel ill - but it was lovely.

I imagine it'll be like Dead Space 2 - I'll play for a couple of hours and then realise I hate FPS type games and give up :)

I've been playing Bayonetta. It's so stupid and over the top it's amazing.

Yeah, I really enjoyed Bayonetta, it just fell prey to the "too many games, not enough time" thing.

I played a ps vita for the first time in game the other day. The analogue sticks felt very small and fidgety but I imagine that's because I've been playing with ps3 controllers for the past few years.

Think I'm gunna buy one with January's salary anyways.

I was very tempted by the Vita but it was quite a lot of money and I thought it'd probably just gather dust like my PSP did. It does look very cool and it seems to have a great selection of games on there.

They are, but not as bad as you think. They work well on Uncharted as you can use the motion sensors to fine aim. Once you get used to it, it works really well.

I use mine more than I did the PSP. It's more "live", with stuff to distract you. I tend to find though that I'm crap at using it as a portable device. I don't game when I'm in other people's company and feel awkward using them on the few occasions I'm on public transport. However, the Vita is a good enough system with good enough integration into the modern world (with trophies, "Near" internet games, decent quality titles, etc) that I want to play it at home anyway. The PSP was always full of sub standard versions of PS2 games, the Vita has a little more to it.

I also use it for Skyping.

The PS+ service on it now (especially if you grabbed it when there was the decent Vita titles included) really made it worth picking up, as you'll get the hardware and not have to buy games for ages. Cross play (buy it on the PS3 and get the Vita version free - save games are stored on your PS3 profile) is also very useful, and becoming more popular.

I really want a vita. It's just finding the money. I'm still getting the free ps+ games for it though so they get added to my downloads list which means if I do hopefully get one eventually I'll still be able to play them all on it. :)

I got Uncharted 3 for Christmas so looking forward to playing that. I know it's the same as the others where you're shooting from cover but I enjoy the story and and the climbing elements. :)

Just finished playing all 3 Sly Cooper games. Really really good. To all who haven't played them do, and to all who have, 8 years for that damn sequel is a long time to be strung out.

I had a Vita for Christmas and didn't really think I'd play it that much but I'm using it more than my PS3 at the moment. I used to have a PSP and hardly played that but the Vita offers so much more. I use it for web browsing if I want to look something up, checking out trophies, messaging friends online etc. And along with all this, the games available are pretty awesome. I've got Fifa 13 and NFS: Most Wanted for it (previous titles of which I've played a lot in the past few years) and they're really good on the Vita. Ease of use and the PS home menu make it such an enjoyable gadget. I'll probably also end up taking it to uni for the odd game - it's lighter than taking a PS3!

I'm still waiting for us to get Wipeout on the Vita as part of PS+

That reminds me, must complete Uncharted on it too.

Mortal Kombat was complete pants, deleted off both consoles

Ni No Kuni is so fantastic, but I just haven't got the time for it. Though I'm halfway through Batman: Arkham City's story and have completed a mass of Lego Lord of the Rings - so I may be able to find time.

I really wanted the limited edition set, it's gorgeous, but money...

How are Wipeout games these days?

Wip3out is quite honestly one of my favorite games of all time, every now and again when I fell like firing up the PS2 that is normally what I end up playing, that or destruction Derby :)

But I went away from them, I remember a mate of mine having a Wipeout game on the PSP and it being a little too difficult for me (I don't do well with any handhelds really) so then I got a 360 and that was that.

So I just wondered if they're still making them, are they any good?

They're gorgeous games (as you can imagine) and I find the PS3 (and Vita one, it's a port) fine to control. I was always rubbish at Wipeout and get along with them.

It's pretty much of a muchness though. Same games as always, bigger and better graphics - a few new modes you may or may not like. Dunno  It's Wipeout!

I feel obliged to report this, so I can wear my nickname proudly.

Nintendo have just announced that the sixth generation of Pokémon games, starting with the games Pokémon X and Pokémon Y (Yeah, they've run out of colours) will debut in October 2013. The games will be released simultaneously all across the world.

Video here: http://www.nintendo.co.uk/Misc-/Nintend ... 98557.html

It's six minutes of history lessons, and two minutes of good stuff. Or, well, good if you like the Pokémon games.

OK, that was all I had! You can go back to having fun now!

Was just watching the live stream of this. Actually looking forward to this and what comes of it. Also the changes that might happen to the competitive scene.

posting from somewhere in the world...

Platform?

Is it just going to be the same sprite based DS **** they rehash for the game every iteration and get ready to watch the money roll in?

Sorry can't watch the video at work.

^Ah, sorry for forgetting that. It's for the 3DS. The gameplay is in full 3D now, yet movement still seems to be grid-based.

The architecture suggests the developers have been inspired by France this time around:

That's much, much better. So fed up with Nintendo just rehashing the same old same old. Money for old rope kind of thing.

The cell shading looks really nice and... It's a game that I will play with Maxi-Minor_Furie. The DS versions are too small and fiddly for me, but I enjoy playing the basic game with him (we completed Pokemon Colosseum together and really enjoyed it).

So yeah, it's the exact update Nintendo needed AND it's the killer game the 3DS has been waiting for. This is going to sell bucket loads of 3DS consoles and if Nintendo had produce B&W2 for the 3DS thay could have helped save on losses to the company this year (obviously development of a game takes time, butthere's no excuse for a Nintendo owned company to still be producing DS only games 18 months into the life cycle of a new console).
