What's new

Tesla, Feel the Power!

Your attention to detail is amazing.

There is no way I could have the patience to ever do a project on this scale.

It's simply fantastic!

^ I stay over 30 FPS with my computer.

AMDX2 4400+
2GB RAM
Geforce 7600GT
Running a 1920x1200 monitor at native resolution.

Hmmm, my home PC's FPS will be between 0.000000000000000000000001 and 0.00001

Now, there is beyond too far, and loefet, I think you have gone there, and passed that up. Beyond the "beyond too far", we have no idea what there is untill we see this ride.

Oh, and have you figured out how to make your objects appear as square blocks? Like stuff you want square, like a cube?

What do you mean, If I need a cube, then I just get one through the menu, and then merge it with other object where I want it.
Or I just extrude one.

It's wierd, but I figured out how to make the objects square, instead of appearing rounded. I did it with a station platform I made a few weeks back.

DAMN!!!!

You should see what I see now.

I have finished of the last 3ds piece, and have added a **** load of trees, I always thought that mu 3ds looked a bit bland but the trees really transform everything.

I will add a few more, since they don't seem to have any big impact on the frame rate.

The total of vertrices used. 243k, and it still runs good.

BTW, does anyone know of a place where you can put up a 16MB file?

Lets see here....

Track..................................Check!!
Supports.............................Check!!
3d objects...........................Check!!
Trees and terrain.................Check!!
Pictures ready for release.....Check!!
Video..................................Check!!
Everything packed...............Check!!
NLpack uploaded..................FAIL!!
Post in forums......................FAIL!!

Well it's just a matter of time now...

It's going to be electrifying!!

I have managed to reduce the size of the package, found some textures that were a bit large  around 4 MB larger then it had to.... Oops..

Hmm, how about you package the 3Ds in a few zipped files, and the track in another file?

That way you can keep it small enough for ridehost to upload :D

^ After resizing some of the ginormus images I managed to get it well under 15 MB, but in the process of doing that I managed to loose my cartextures...

So that pretty much foiled my plan of release it this morning....

Oh my god. That is absolutely unbelievable.

Good Points
-The layout was brilliant
-The trackwork was stunning, no pumps or jerks anywhere
-The pacing was great
-The Gs were all good
-The 3Ds are just spectacular
-The attention to detail and depth of the 3Ds was shocking

And now we come to the dreaded section:

Bad Points
-You have no life

I really have never seen a prject as good as that. The whole thing felt so realistic. The 3Ds really are awesome.

I can safely give you a 10/10. I've not often given them, now I am learned, and this project deserves it.

Loefet, well done.

I'm off to ride it more.

Can someone tell me how to download track pack. Because when I download it, it comes up with "cannot load track"

Anyway. Looking at the video it is very nicely done Loefet, and shows how amazing something like this can be if you put so much time and effort into it. :p

^^ Iroiro Hontou Ni Domou Arigato Gosaimasu.

^ Try and save it to disk, before trying to open it.

Now comes the problem..... What to do next. :?
