Straight, Curved or Twisty?

Then of course theres rides like all the B&M Hypers which drops are curved. Theres no straight bit, its just constant curve, until it straights out at the bottom. The most amazing things with these drops is that it just feels like youre being sucked into a black hole. Ie Millennium Force, Intimidator 305, El toro. The feeling of airtime is just :O
Then again I still like the straight ones.
These are all Intamin. B&M Hyper coasters include Nitro, Diamondback, Intimidator, Apollo's Chariot. Millennium Force and El Toro both have straight first drops. I-305's first drop is straight and then there is a curve after the drop.

^ His definition of of a curved drop is a parabolic drop, such as any B & M hyper or an intamin mega, and straight meaning with a straight section at the max angle of decent, like goliath @ SFMM, and twisty as in like a B & M invert.

^Believe me, there's nothing parabolic about El Toro's first drop. Not a splash of floater to be seen. ;)

^Of course not. According to this guys system, it's curved.

It's an odd (and stupid) naming system, but it's really not very difficult to understand...

Agreed, although I thought El Toro was a 'straight' drop

The curves entering and exiting the drop are large but it definatly looks like there's a 'straight' section between them.

Curved (parabolic) would be my favourite when riding with a lapbar, but if i'm in OTSR i'd go for a 'twisted' drop to make it more interesting.

sorry guys I should have been more detailed with what I meant. But yes the photos Hixee posted are what I meant.
To Joey I would consider Big Ones drop a twisty one.

to be honest I just came up with whatever name seemed what the drop looked like.

Slight curve at the top, then straight drop.

Raptor's first drop in the back. <3

I personally prefer curved drops. Vertical drops are cool also, especially Griffon's and X2's. I305's almost-vertical drop was pretty scary in the front, but I think the only reason why was because we were 305 feet in the air.

The semi-curved drops on Raptor, Dominator, Scream!, etc. are okay. I'll ride them but I don't really care for them.
