Six Flags Mexico | Medusa Steel Coaster | RMC Iron Horse

Or maybe it's not a big conspiracy theory and it may have actually been to save money.

At the end of he day, NTG was in fact a prototype, no matter how you see it, so they'd let the whole track of the coaster prototype but no trains? That's not exactly viable.

But then why would Six Flags change to RMC trains for Iron Medusa, if they were so cheap earlier, and RMC trains are so expensive?

Surely that decision was made well before the NTG accident.

Why don't you email the park and ask?

I just don't like his a lot of enthusiasts think they know more than park management and act as though it's a conspiracy why certain things were done the way they were. Maybe it's actually TRUE what they've said?

Maybe Six Flags saw that the risk of getting their trains from RMC may cause more maintenance and downtime rather than going with a trusted Gerstlauer train?

You are missing the point. The point is that there could be a ton of reason to why Six Flags chose to buy Gerstlauer trains instead of buying them from RMC, not just to save a few bucks.

When the guys at RMC says it was a cost cutting issue, they are probably focusing on the fact that Six Flags didn't want to risk any downtime on the trains, and not on the actual trains being cheaper, as ECG makes it seem.

I doubt they would be that much cheaper anyway. A train will cost a quarter of a million anyway (figure based on a standard Vekoma configuration).

Yeah, pretty sure I said that in my last sentence that's now in Bold for your easier viewing.

My point still stands - enthusiasts are the worst type of people to be pessimistic and believing there's a larger conspiracy to a certain situation, when in fact, it may just be as simple as reported.

That's the end of what I'm saying.

Obviously you still don't get it.

Discussion over.

I do get what you was trying to say, but it's obvious you don't understand my tone and what I'm saying about the whole superiority concept of enthusiasts thinking they know more than manufacturers.

Discussion over. Yes Dad.

Let's get back on topic ;)

It translates into "Draw track here". I guess they are saying that the next portion of layout will be built where the arrow is pointing. Wasn't there going to be another inversion besides the first downward roll on the first drop?

RMC has updated their Facebook page:

And here's a picture of their crew that works with the trains, which are also in the picture.

And here's a closer shot of the train (posted by the park's FB)

They say that the trains are ready to be shipped. Hopefully testing soon?
