What's new

Six Flags Mexico | Medusa Steel Coaster | RMC Iron Horse

I went there in july, and it is a lot better than goliath IMO. Goliath was a little too short for my taste, not saying goliath was bad, but this is just a whole lot better, and it makes my top 15.

Worth posting the recent POV and off-ride footage that was just shot by our very own ECG. If I'm honest? Still haven't a clue to the layout - but it still looks as good as ever.

Judging by the POVs it looks like the ride keeps its speed up through the entire layout. I've heard other RMCs have a habit of pittering out towards the end, so I'm wondering if it's just the camera that's tricking my eyes. Can you confirm that Jerry?

This baby hauls ass throughout, just like Outlaw Run, only this one is much longer.
However I think that the pacing on each RMC is good. Goliath doesn't haul ass like Medusa or Outlaw Run, but it's perfect for what the coaster does. New Texas Giant lets up a bit at the end, but that's just after the last hump before the return to the station. And Iron Rattler does slow down quite a bit at the top of the cliff after the zero-g, but that's done on purpose to imitate a snake slithering along before it pounces on it's prey, which is represented by the sudden burst of speed over that final drop.
I can't wait to give Wicked Cyclone and Twisted Colossus a go this year to see what they have in store, but I think all of these will be overshadowed by Wildfire come 2016.
