Rhein Airtime (Germany Live) Trip reports!

And that Curry/Tomato ketchup! Twas awesome!!!

Christmas trees in the indoor coaster indeed. Sparkly indeed! Plus the flames, and the smoke, and the lasers, and the water falls! Seriously, why do theme parks fail so often yet a fun fair can totally create an immersive crazy ass, full on coaster experience?

Sounds like you had a great time. I wish I could have come because Phantasialand is the best theme park I've ever been to. Oh well. Maybe next time.

Is anyone else still totally exhausted.

I was fine until we got in the car home last night and then it all hit me. I fell asleep this afternoon and only just woke up!

I fell asleep in the car at Cambridge services, around midnight, and woke up at 5am this morning, ha! :D

I know how you feel I could just about drive to Southend last night I was so tired I could not see properly and today I fell asleep on the couch.

Day 2 Phantasialand.

Amazing park some great rides and great theming.

We started the day with front row on Black Mamba and what a great coaster this is. It left us with the conversation of is it better than Nemesis, to me even though its good Nemesis just about beats it but its one of the best coasters of this type I have been on.

Next ride was the Top Spin, I am not a fan of these rides and even with the great theming I still did not like it. We were going backwards so did not really see much apart from the wall.

The Michael Jackson coaster was cool I loved it at the back. We went the long way round to find the coaster :) long story lol.

We then done some other rides and went to the Mystery Castle which was just fantastic and left me shaking been a long time since that has happened.

I sat out the rapids due to the rain, I regret it but just did not want to ruin the rest of my day. Had a great chat with Joey and Will which was nice and thanks Joey for going to get the best puncho ever.

We had to more goes on Black Mamba one at the back which was fantastic just a shame Harvey had to go. This is also when we found out the park was staying open for an extra hour so we made the most of this.

The park is great would go back there again and most of the rides are very good.

Day 1: Movie Park

What a poor park it is. Not photogenic, and the best coaster there was Jimmy Nuetrons coaster. Seriously. Bandit was rough as hell, wait till you see the POV of it. The SLC rough. And the other 2 were just standard coasters.

It was good to see the extended Disco with the 'airtime' hill. Though I did not go on it. Great weather and company. Awesome to meet costar.

Day 1 part 2 tommorow

Driving was fun in Germany loved the roads and the car, great conversation as well and alot of laughs had :)

Even though the sat nav women was not very good lol.

Especially when you are sat right next to the Ibis hotel and she tells you to turn left and drive for another 0.9miles...

I cant repeat some of the things I called that silly sat nav woman!

I've taken 580 photos which I've had a quick flick through. Some are alright, others not so, but as most people who were taking pictures will know, they wern't easy coasters to get pictures of.

According to my count, I got on about 64 rides this week, which isn't bad! We managed all 28 credits too!

The cars were quite fun and it was good to mix the people up. I loved Harveys ranting in our car on the way to Tripsdrill, that was fantastic. :p

Their roads over there were quite scary in places, specifically those 2m wide roadwork lanes. Overtaking a lorry with about 5cm of room between the vehicles isn't exactly comfortable, and I wasn't even driving!

lol Peter I remember after I passed a lorry saying to the people in my car how close was it and they all said we dont know as we were to scared to look, my heart was pounding after it never been so scared driving one error and you either hit the wall or the lorry.

Blooming lorries! My butt hole was clenching indeed!

Well, as some of you know I bought the original EGF Soundtrack (that they weren't using) and I've also managed to reaquire the EuroMir music (cheers Martyn) so if you want to keep the feeling alive, drop me a pm and i'll send it over via msn or something...

BTW: Here are my very few pictures from Movie Park http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=1 ... =734840322

Alerady tagged them I think... my fave is this one...

Joey in the nabbed from Stansted Krispy Kreme Hat!!!

I seriously felt it was a tight squeeze too. Just so scary going through all them 2m gaps. Though my sat nav only went silly on me 1 time =D

HAHahahahahahaha. I just remember the fact that one minute you were next to me and the next your ass was in a bush! I really had to control myself from dieing of laughter!

And that wasn't the only time I had to do that was it Harvey! I swear to god my drink nearly went through my nose with your to the point response!

That lift hill is three minutes of total death, especially when someone is pelting you with hard boiled sweets! :D

Right, Day 1 Part 2 =]

Dusseldorf Fair.

Holy **** that was awesome! All different types of rides including the schrawz (POV coming soon!), and the spinning coasters. What a great selection of rides and stalls and fooooood!

I think all of us were commenting on how they should do more Schrawz coasters, as it was insane. The music wasn't too loud and over powering, unlinke the UK fairs. Definatly going to go to Oktoberfest then =D I think that was a general thing most people said they would go now.

Fair Photos!

Movie Park was a bit ****. It was like a vile hybrid between a generic movie park and Pleasure Island Cleethorpes.

I really quite like the Jimmy whatever suspended vekoma kiddy coaster thing. I figure if it was longer and did more, it could potentially be amazing. The Shrek 4D thing rocked too and Alien Encounter was good, but I doubt re-rideable. Everything else at that park was full of suck and it was unbelievably ugly at the back. I thought I'd like Bandit, but it was just vibrating it's way down every drop and was hell.

The rest of my Movie ****e Germany photos... http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=6 ... =644541270

A truly average day was saved by that fair. Omfgawd... The fair. It was just unbelievable. When we approached on the tram and could see no Eurostar, I felt a bit sad. But Alpina-Bahn and Hollenblitz were so incredible. I loved Hollenblitz. The first time I went on it it span like crazy. It was like a mental Waltzer on a track and it felt like it went on forever. Just amazing. Alpina-Bahn was great too. I loved how it flung you around and the airtime was just scary. I didn't go on any spin and spews, but they looked fantastic. And Christ that half metre long bratwurst with the curry ketchup made me so happy.

Aside the dickwod who kicked Tim and how crowded it was, the fair felt a lot safer than a regular fair. The music wasn't stupidly loud so you could hear yourself. It was truly amazing.
