As you can tell they are all FREE so I'm being a tight git and not spending anything. Well for now anyway. I just purchased the iPhone 3Gs 32GB so I don't have the money just yet.

There are a lot of neat applications for BlackBerry's. Not quite as many as Apples iPhone/iPod Touch, but give it time. Try some of the applications out that I mentioned. :)

Anyone know if this works in the UK? I have tried to find something like this which can block people who I don't know from calling me.

If not does anyone know another application which can do this without having to jailbreak my phone.

The Apps I have on my phone all the time:

Telegraph
News app from the newspaper people. Covers everything in great detail. Minimal celebrity news. Sport, travel, mortoring. It's brill, best news app out there. And it's free!

Sky News
News app from the trashy Sky network. If I can't be bothered with the facts but want to know what's happening in the world, this app does the job. Free.

Shovel
App version of http://digg.com Brilliant for finding strange and interesting news stories not in the mainstream.

TVGuide
Yeah...

AppMiner
Displays all the new apps and lets you watch apps so you know when they're on sale. Great way of discovering new games and splurging cash on apps if you're a whore like me.

AppBox Pro
Currency coverter, date calculator, Days Until countdown, flashlight, random number generator, ruler, translator, unit converter etc...all in one app!

Traffic Info
Traffic information app taken directly from http://www.trafficengland.com. Free!

Trapster
Lists speed cameras in your area. Has the ability to include "live speed traps" but is dependant on users. Ok, but not excellent. Handy if you want to check an area before driving there.

Around Me & NearMe
Both apps can find local amenitiessuch as post offices, pubs, super markerts, petrol stations etc

The Weather Channel
By far the most reliable weather app I've found.

Runkeeper
Uses GPS to track your run/bike ride. Uploads your journey to their website and allows you to see the route and loads of stats. Drains battery but is worth it.

NME Radio
Loads of indie music without the chat. Best radio app for my taste of music.

Shazam
Everybody has this one. Hold the iPhone to the a piece of muci and it'll tell you what it is.

TuneWiki
Use it to play a song stored in your iPhone and it'll display the lyrics karaoke style!

FotoSafe
Lets you store personal, private and porno photos and is protected by a pin :p

Drinks Free
Ideal for parties where there's plenty of leftover booze. Type in what you have and see what cocktails you can make.

Planets
Geeky one I like. Tells me what the stars in the skys are.

I also have about 150 games, not all of them on my iPhone at once, but I'd recommend the following:
Drawrace, DeerHunter, FlightControl Ar.AahH!!, Westbang, Trvial Pursuit, Dotopop, Castle, TapTap revenge 2, Harbor Master, Subway, Trace, Racer, Taxi Jam, Spider and Lion Pride.

I have just shy of 250 apps in total. The majority of them are free/lite versions but if you're willing to pay a few pence, you can get some good time killers. And let's face it, time killing is what the iPhone is best at.

^you should get the O2 app as it tells you how many texts and mins you have left and its free.

I was thinking of getting the camera app but not sure.

I was also thinking of getting Tomtom but its so expensive.
I have Ebuddy but never really use it.

I have it but rarely use it.

I wouldn't get it. The GPS on the iPhone really lags when travelling in a car, it can hardly keep up at times, espcially if you go to a rural area. I've seen it in action and wouldn't recommend it.

Thanks for that Ian, I wont bother then. But was that on the 3G or 3Gs and the 3Gs has faster GPS.

Another game which I found good fun was Track & Field, good laugh and flows well. Shame the Javelin is ****, can't throw further than 83m yet the AI throws 94m?

Ian have you downloaded Ronnie O'Sullivan's snooker game? Was wondering if its any good, as you can play it over wi-fi.

I'd have thought that made the game good, and you ****?

Actually i would recomend it i wasnt convinced at first but it is a really good app and i find it faster than my old sat nav which you experienced in belgium ian so you know how slow it was lol. it finds places really fast it never lags and its never got it wrong yet. The only downside to it is you need a car charger as it will run your battery out from full in about an hour so without a car charger its a bit poo, But as you can get a charger for about 3 quid not to much bother i recomend it you prob saw it before its update ian i didnt get it till after its first update so not to buy into the bugs but its all been fixed now.

I've seen it on both.

Nope. I'm not a fan of snooker computer games, I find them too fiddly.

Was not sure to start a new topic or not for this. I have finally got Ping working, my id is marcleigh. Whats everyone elses?

Ping me if you want to.

Ping is an anoying name though as it reminds me of work :(

Ping is great if you use dating apps ;)

That way you can communicate with potential dates without giving out your mobile number.

^lol.

I would use it to save my texts, only most people that I text dont have an iphone so I will probably save nothing.

I can see a need to delete it when going to another country though as it uses data and will end up getting a huge bill if people ping me.

In Settings > Notifications, you can turn automatic push data off.

I've just turned my notifications off to test it, please can somebody send me a Ping! message? Cheers!

EDIT: Tested with Pierre. It worked. Can go to Norway now :)

I was unable to Ping you as I just messed up and I am having to re load it.

If you put in someones name wrong you can not delete it or change it and it wont let you add a similar name, stupid thing.
