"Now Showing"

Well, have you seen Ocean's 11 or 12?

No, but I'm just saying I hate it when movies are confusing, and are hard to follow. It makes me so annoyed.

That's a euphemism for a ladies time of the month you know? Or were you watching a film about periods?

LOL! It was that movie about the submarine things, which got shut off because the class was being too noisy. I wasn't too bummed about it though, because there was a huge glare on the screen and I couldn't see nor hear what was going on. After all, it would be quite weird to watch a movie about periods in geography class. That sort of stuff is for health and science!

I watched Sid and Nancy yesterday, and though I wasn't blown away, it wasn't a bad movie. It was also interesting because it was based off of a true story, and though I wanted to punch the girl who played Nancy in the face because of her voice, I still felt bad for both of them. Overall, the storyline was okay, and most of all, it kept me fairly intrigued, so I guess it deserves 6.5/10.

RV that is a fantasic funny comadey, about a family that go on holiday in an rv instead of going to a nice hot country. And it all turns out wrong when they meet a really weird family that keep on fowlloing them around. Great film 10/10.

I watched Hostel 2, and I have to say I was relatively disappointed. I mean, it was okay, but as with the first one, this lacked any really good gore. There are bits and bobs with okay gore but, not as much as you'd think for a Hostel film. Also, for anyone who has watched it, what was up with the end and those stupid kids? What a dumb ending.

At least they cut down on the sex, because the first time around it was awkward to see it with my dad, and this time I was expecting it to be pretty awkward with the naked people but it really wasn't too bad.

6.7/10

Finally watched Happy Feet last night with Minor_Furie... Then watched it again with Madame_Furie... It was that good.

Absolutely fab film. I could only describe it as a kids version of Moulin Rouge. Obviously you have to take into account the fact it was aimed at kids, but even so, it's one of the best films I've seen all year. It wasn't smaltzy and patronising. It wasn't predictable (overly) and it was endearing and fun. Above all it was just a gorgeous film to watch! Very impressed :)

Took me a good 5 times watching Ocean's 11 to figure out exactly how they robbed the casino, and I still haven't fully figured out Ocean's 12 yet. But, as of now, I'm pretty good on 13.

LOL, that's so close to being a near perfect quote from Peep Show! Love it!

First picture from Saw IV apparently.

I just saw 1408 it's not in UK theaters (I don't think). I can say, i'm honestly a little creeped out yet confused at the same time, The movie was excelent in story line, the special effects weren't bad either. THe movie is about an author whos writing a top 10 scariest hotels book, he goes to one hotel; the dolphin hotel in NY and checks into a room...1408. No one lasts more than an hour since apprently it's the 7th circle of hell So all these weird scary things happen. I won't go into detail on it, the movie definatly had a Twilight Zone feel to it, very strange, twisted, and creepy. It's not scare you ****less scary but still good none the less. 8.5 / 10

I'm really concerned with them making so many Saws. I love the three Saw movies to death, and they're some of my favourite movies overall, but I know that if they keep making more, eventually they're going to make one I don't like.

What's up with that chair, anyway?

That's based on one of his short stories isn't it? I remember reading it in one of his anthologies (but blowed if I can remember which one at the moment, maybe Everything's Eventual?)

I saw Lucky Number Slevin the other night, as it was on the TV. I thought it was pretty decent. I'm not one for writing out long reviews, but I did enjoy the film. It was very well acted and written, and there was plenty of violence, which is always good.

If you're a fan of the Tarantino movies, you'd probably like this.

I thought that it was pretty good, but it was too simple really. It tried so hard to be clever and twisting, but it was all obvious, a little cliched, and generally too blatant.

As you say though Lain, it was well written and well acted, so it was a good film, but compared to what it wanted to be, it just didn't really cut the mustard.

Just finished watching crash. There seems to be a lot of hate towards it on the imdb boards so I guess it must be a love/hate thing (as it's still rated fairly high, and as I thought it was great).

Gripping, intense, powerful, et cetera, et cetera.

It can have a 9/10.

Pile of **** that film is. Robin Williams trying to be funny. Failing so much.

I watched Hot Fuzz recently, such a great film one of the best British action films of the last few years. Great cinematography and editing, as well as great roles played by famous british actors.

9/10!

Hm, well I watched Shooter today, and let me just start off by saying I'm not an action fan at all.

Having said that, the movie itself wasn't too bad. I was confused at some parts, but it was far less confusing than I had initially anticipated. It had a good storyline, which kept me excited and wondering what will happen next, which is rare for me especially with an action flick. Another thing I liked about it was wondering what I would do in the main character's situation, as I felt pretty bad for the guy. The effects were pretty good, and though I'm not a huge fan of plain old shooting, there was a heck of a lot of it, but that's to be expected with these types of movies.

All in all, I'm still not an action fan, but this was better than I had thought it would be, so it gets a 7.5/10.

Tuesday I decided to go along to my local Cineworld cinema (1 hour bus ride lol) as on tuesdays it only costs £4 to see a film. Me and my sis ended up going to see Ocean's Thirteen.

I'll start off with that I'm not a fan of Clooney at all and havn't seen ocean's Twelve. I didn't go in expecting much really, just a normal American flick with not much to work out. I got what I expected, it was ok, nothing special but I suppose enjoyable and something to pass the time by.

Nothing amazing
3/5

I went to see Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer last night in the cinemas. It was good because of how crap it was. It's the cheesiest film I have ever seen in my entire life.

Generally a crap story line, but for some reason I enjoyed it. It was so crap that it was good.

6/10

I watched Dead Silence last night, and though I'm more of a fan of humans killing humans when it comes to movies, instead of supernatural things killing humans, I thought it was okay.

The movie itself was quite far fetched, as with a lot of movies these days, and there were a lot of things that I didn't like about it, but for the most part is was kind of creepy. Not the best movie in terms of storyline, but ventriloquist dummies always have scared the crap out of me, so they were pretty creepy in some bits.

Overall, I'd give it a 6/10, because I didn't like the storyline too much, though the dummies, like I said, were enough to creep me out for the span of the movie.
